presentation of the 800 DRAGSTER RC 2018
the RC series, for Reparto Corse, has undeniably made its mark in the MV-Agusta range. The F4 has fallen in love with it to become a Superbike muse; other models take advantage of it to incense the sporting fiber and flatter the buyer. The Dragster 800 renews its faith in the colors of the competition department, with a revised deco for 2018. The dress is more crimson and finely retouched. The most visible points are the red-nimbed rims, updated sponsors, a more colorful front fender and the grafting of an SC Project muffler. The welding work on the mid-tube is simply superb, worthy of the best achievements of the 2-stroke era.
a few special parts, a racing deco and we're in the mood. This bubbling special series is based on the 800 Drasgter RR, which benefits from a fresh evolution. Styling tweaks and mecanical upgrades ensure durability and sensations. The RC edition is thus derived from the meanest version of the Dragster, with a 3-cylinder engine belching out 140 hp. The Dragster benefits (belatedly) from a Euro4 update, with a good series of technical modifications. A new catalytic converter and exhaust valve, new valve guide material, reinforced starter and freewheel, revised balance shaft, new crankcases, optimized oil and water pump gears and water pump gears, refined gearbox selection and updated electronics - all for less pollution, less noise, more efficiency and unrestrained belly rage. Between the Italian colors and the scent of battle, MV-Agusta put on full display the 37 that symbolizes the brand - its number of world championship titles. This number has not changed since 1974.
to mark this special series, the manufacturer has added a few carbon parts, such as the speedo cap, front mudguard and radiator deflectors. The superb spoked wheels of the standard version have been replaced by forged rims. The Marzocchi fork has lost its red anodizing, but remains fully adjustable. So is the shock absorber. The shoe, discreet on the RR, has decided to be more garish, featuring a whole list of sponsors. For the seat, a superb two-tone saddle combines leather and stitching.

like the RR, the Dragster 800 RC is loaded with electronics, including MVICS 2.0 management. It includes Ride-By-Wire, 8-level traction control, 4 riding modes working with engine management, traction control, throttle sensitivity, engine braking, torque curve, etc... Three are pre-programmed according to specific profiles (Sport, Normal, Rain) and one is completely user-configurable. The Quickshifter EAS 2.0 allows you to upshift and downshift without touching the clutch. The sporty chassis is still based on a tubular steel trellis frame connected to attractive aluminum plates, Brembo 4-piston radial brakes with 320 mm discs, a planed rear end and a large 200 m rear tire.
mV-Agusta seems to have decided to create a whole RC sibling family, including the 800 Dragster RR. To underline the model's exclusivity, only 350 units will be produced. At a reindexed price that's hard to justify. But with an MV, who cares - it's the passion that speaks.
