Motorcycle specifications MV-AgustaSuperveloce 800 2019 The beautiful moments of a countess
presentation of the Superveloce 800 2019
If there's one brand you wouldn't expect to be part of the neo-retro trend, it's MV-Agusta. Its past is far richer in competition than in road models. We remember the 500 MV3 more than the 750 Sport or GT.
However, a sporty model is about to enter the movement... but in the MV way, a blend of sensual design, haute couture and mechanical tension. The result is this absolutely superb Superveloce 800 Ottocento.
This is neo-retro at its finest. This sporty machine boasts an impeccable design stroke, fusing the brand's history with edgy, modern styling. The details count as much or even more than the overall look. It's impossible to remain insensitive to the round headlamp from which a beam of light emerges, captured in yellow. A reminder of a bygone era when all vehicles lit up the nights with this warm color. The yellow-orange windscreen is supervised by a singular cap. The all-carbon fairing gently reveals F3 lines, ending with an admirable rocket stern and circular light. Special mention must be made of the fuel tank, held in place by two leather straps linked together at the filler cap.
The SC Project mufflers appear vintage to the core, each celebrating a cylinder after a 3-in-1 in3 passage and positioned in the asymmetrical manner of Meccanica Verghera's racing bikes of yesteryear. Even the rims dare to shake things up, with spokes arranged like sticks. As with all MVs, temptation is present from the moment you discover the bike. But it's clearly more insistent here.

Before rushing to the dealer, let's temper, disappoint and hope. For the moment, this 800 Superveloce is no more than a concept, but a very accomplished one. A production version was originally scheduled to arrive in the second half of 2019. In the end, we'll have to wait until March 2020 for a top-of-the-range ORO series, limited to 300 units. Priced at 27,990 euros, it promises to be 10,000 euros more expensive than the F3 800 from which it derives. Like all Oro series since the F4 750, it packs a punch.
