presentation of the Varg SM 2026

Stark Future has made a name for itself in the world of electric offroad. Now the Spanish brand wants to make a splash on the road with a supermotard derivative that promises big things.

Following on from the success of its MX cross-country and EX enduro models, the new SM brings Stark's proven competition technology to the road, offering the best power-to-weight ratio ever achieved for a production supermoto.

Truck strength

With 60 hp or 80 hp (optional for an extra 1,000 euros), 914 Nm of torque at the rear wheel (4 times more than a Triumph Rocket III) and a weight of just 124.5 kg, it sets a new benchmark for performance, agility and control, while offering up to 183 km of urban range, 118 km of suburban range or 81 km (WMTC) of real-world range.
The Stark is equipped with intelligent driver-focused innovations, including Crawl mode for reversing in tight spaces, customizable driving modes, and an optional handlebar-mounted handbrake. Stark has even included A1 compatibility.

The VARG SM is built on a high-strength steel chassis with a forged aluminum subframe. Suspension is provided by KYB, with a fully adjustable 48mm closed-cartridge fork, 290mm travel and a triple-adjustable rear shock with 303mm travel.
A new fork crown (superbly CNC machined) gives the SM greater steering precision and improved front-end feel. Machined hubs, aerodynamic rims and Brembo brakes deliver exceptional stopping power and stability.

The cockpit features internally routed wiring, a CNC aluminum map switch and Stark's robust Arkenstone. On the display side, a waterproof, impact-resistant Android dashboard offers GPS navigation and real-time riding data, live updates and a range of controls directly from the handlebars.

Recharging in the field

Recharging takes less than two hours with Stark's revolutionary 3.3 kW portable charger, light enough to fit in a backpack and compatible with any household socket or mains car charger. Otherwise, it takes two hours on 240 V.

Braking performance is enhanced by a 320 mm disc and a Brembo Stylema 4-piston radial caliper. The wheels are road-going, with 120/70-17 at the front and 140/70-17 and 4 tire options to suit the environment and your tastes. Basic Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV or Dunlop Sportsmart TT; the choice can be Michelin Road 6 for wet and cold weather, or Anlas Grip Plus if the weather is rotten.
