presentation of the GSX 1200 INAZUMA 1999

within Suzuki's roadster range, the GSX 1200 is the first cousin of the GSF 1200 Bandit, albeit in a more classic vein. The latter steals the show, while the GSX's qualities are at least, if not better, equivalent to those of the GSF. Its retro aesthetic is neither lacking in class nor charm, but the public clearly prefers the tauter lines of the Bandit. Its two cousins share the big air-oil block derived from the old 1100 GSX-R, re-bored and toned down. The GSX version is distinguished from the GSF by different camshafts and carburetors, to improve torque. Not vicious, but powerful, this 4-legged machine delivers plenty of power and thrills. Riding the Inazuma requires no special instructions, and proves carefree and even more fun than the Bandit, thanks to its more incisive front axle. Braking, comfort and pricing are almost identical to the GSF, although the GSX's engine power is more pronounced. Choosing between the two will be a matter of taste. On the one hand, there's a classic machine of restrained size, with its 2 side shocks and retro styling - on the other, a machine with a solid reputation and a more modern design. They represent a choice alternative to the XJR 1300. But the imminent arrival of the GSX 1400 could change a lot.

I bought this bike not long ago, and was pleasantly surprised by its torque, even though I only had to ride it about 500km, a large part of which was in duo
On the other hand, to find parts of carrenage, hot, thus, if somebody has head of fork, sabot, scoop radiator, passage of wheel, especially, do not hesitate to contact me.

I am 55 years old and recently parted with my Honda cb 1300. I have just acquired a 1200 inazuma year 2000 ! 300/400 kms autonomy with normal driving. Handling and reliability nothing to complain about, I had two gsx one 89 and 90 same engine base. Easy self-maintenance. What can I say, it's a retro bike. I got it at 32,000 kms and did 12,000 in one year with no problems. A bike I'm not about to sell. Grand V to all and dared an inazuma is concrete.✌ï¸ÂÂ

bonjour , bike bought with 80.000 km on the odometer and yet it runs like clockwork , no oil consumption or suspicious noises from the timing chain , versatile bike , pleasant and very maneuverable in town , but can be nasty when pushing up to 8/9000 rpm , a terrible torque , in short a very good bike and easy for maintenance to do yourself , I am not about to change , a creme Rating : 4/5

hello,
i've owned a gsx 1200 since 2005 and have never had a bad surprise with this bike, its engine is puncture-proof and it handles superbly for its weight.
it may not meet the latest beauty criteria, but it's a guarantee that you'll be riding an endearing machine at a low price, which is also a good base for bikers who want to do some tuning.

Hello,
My 1999 INAZUMA 1200 (bought with only 8800 km in April 2009 ... 14500 km to date ... don't ride it much) I like it (big power and torque from 3000) but it heats up my thighs in summer! I'm thinking of changing them (for EMCs or, much cheaper, YSSs) if I keep it, which isn't certain because I can't see any point in riding every day with 240 kgs under the saddle (all full). It's a pity that manufacturers don't reconsider their approach to the 500/600 mono (45/50 HP are more than enough if you stay under 160 kgs). Best regards.

i'm waiting for the good weather, i bought it this winter and the few rides i've done with it i can say that at high speed it handles well, maybe me, i used to ride a srad, in any case it's nice to ride, i think i'll have some good rides, i said rides, no more riding like a madman. a+ happy new year to all and take care and enticipation to you.gigi Rating : 5/5
Bought second-hand with windscreen, Nikko Racing pot and EMC shock absorbers and 50,000 kms...a real pleasure for both touring and attacking. A little tip, raise the fork by 5 mm and you're sitting on the front wheel! Ideal for attacking. Otherwise, basic eco-maintenance...Bonne route en Inazuma 1200 Rating : 5/5

Continuation of the comment of 17/8 23:15, I made a wrong manipulation! As I was saying, the GSX's rear suspension is drier than the Bandit's (less travel) but the softness of the seat compensates for that. The Bandit has a more modern or more virile look (for those who are put off by the neo-retro look...) and the advantage of an automatic fuel tap, which the GSX doesn't have (you cut off the fuel like in the good old days!) The Bandit's engine is also more expressive at higher revs (above 7000 rpm). As we use these bikes for family outings, we don't really appreciate this feature! Cornering is easier with the GSX than with the Bandit, thanks to a more incisive front drivetrain (you have to force the Bandit a little to get into the bend...). For both these machines, the use of the engine in the manner of a large automotive V6 (pick-up in 5th gear at 1500 rpm, 60 km/h) makes us completely forget my wife's previous machine (600 Bandit) where we had to play with the selector and stay in the revs! In conclusion, we're not ready to part with our machines, especially the GSX which, for my wife, squares the circle with : A nice look (especially in red...), bike-like handling, a torquey engine that pushes hairy, appreciable comfort and, above all, a seat height that allows women of 1m65 to avoid the Virago 535 and other Guzzi Nevadas! In short, it's a pleasure to ride! Rating : 5/5

My wife and I own both machines (1200 GSX for her, 1200 Bandit for me). The GSX is more stable in curves, with a straighter riding position and a fuller engine between 2000 and 5000 rpm. Its seat height is made for women (5 cm less than the Bandit), which means that my wife's feet are almost flat (height 1m65). The saddle is also more comfortable, especially as a duo (with our two boys). The rear suspension of the Rating : 5/5
