presentation of the ZRX 1100 R 1999
eddie Lawson - The name rings a bell. If you're also a fan of 80s Superbikes, you'll want to pay more than a little attention to the ZRX 1100 R. Admire this big roadster with its distinctive replica decor, its swingarm with inverted reinforcement, and the touch of the past with its square fork head. Such a singular machine has to have a big heart - no question of having a chili con carne with a taste of steamed potato - and no worries there. The impressive 4-legged is bursting with torque. It's quick off the mark, with no lag time, and climbs the revs with vigor. Big watts, big reach, can the chassis keep up?
No problem. Roadholding is excellent, with the machine accepting all situations and staying glued to the asphalt. The suspension is a little dry, but this doesn't detract from the bike's dynamic qualities. Don't worry about braking. The discs are gripped by sturdy 6-piston calipers.
With this big roadster, Kawa takes on the Yamaha 1300 XJR and the Suzuki Bandit 1200 and GSX. Its particularly jubilant character and expressive looks make it a machine of choice.

Reliable, packed with torque and timeless looks, this big roadster is an exceptional machine. Still criticized for its lack of comfort as a duo, it is nonetheless much appreciated by my partner and my daughters. The kilometers are swallowed up without fatigue, and the particularly reasonable cost of maintenance remains an asset for those who don't want to break the bank
For these twenty springs, I've given it a beautiful stainless-steel exhaust system, adding an unrivalled throaty sound. The 106 horsepower are more than sufficient, and are no match for the new, sanitized contenders pumped up on growth hormones
In short, a beautiful toy worthy of the greatest Japanese creations. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Éric 03

i currently have a triumph sprint RS 955 from 2004 ,,,, super machine that pushes well ,,,,, 300 kms before reserve ,,,,,
BUT ,,, at 60 years old my lumbar vertebrae tickle me ,,,, so as I like it to grow hairy ,,,, reading the tests I think the ZRX would suit me well ,,,,
my hesitation between the 1100 and the 1200 comes from the fuel consumption,,, 5.9 /100 kms for the 1100 (true???) against 7.5/100 for the 1200 careenée ,,,,
and to know if the 1200 S fairing can be mounted on the 1100????
who can help me choose ????
thank you all Rating : 3/5 Respond to phil03
