presentation of the GSX-R 1000 R Yoshimura Suzuka 8 Hours 2018

2018 was not the year of new products for Suzuki, but rather the year of special series, especially for the GSX-R. From the countries around the corner to the dealer across the street, there's something to satisfy every fan of the brand, and reminisce about its moments of glory.

here is perhaps the most aggressive of the series, covered in lava around a molten engine. This 1000 GSX-R R has a very special attachment to world endurance racing: its dress is none other than that of the official Suzuki-Yoshimura team competing in the Suzuka 8 Hours; and as a symbolic gesture, it was presented at the 82nd Bol d'Or.
A perfect exercise in mimicry. From the muzzle to the number plate, the gex is a complete copy of the official machine. Colors, markings, sponsors, it's a true photocopy. Only the mirrors make you realize that this model is intended for the road... Well, in a manner of speaking.

the GSX-R 1000 R, like all hypersports, can only really express itself on the track. This Yoshimura Suzuka 8 hours is even more so: it comes with a Yosh R11sq pot, not homologated for the road. You bet! At 101 dB, you can hear it coming from miles away. The 4-cylinder, with 202 hp, is already enough to make your arms and ears stand on end. Just in case, the original muffler is included in the package.
Well, let's get on that track! There's a stopwatch waiting !!! One minute to go. Let's not forget the goodies the GSX-R 1000 R will love to take with it. This special series brings it a double-curved smoked bubble, racing levers and their related protectors, a matching seat cover, a stand stand and the cover that protects it all.

this isn't the first time Suzuki has marked itself with this tribute. In 2010, a very similar series was released. As at the time, only a limited number were available. 30 this time, priced at 21,999 euros. Suzuki is announcing a price advantage of 1,800 euros over the standard equipment.
