presentation of the TF 250-X 2026
The first evolution of the TF 250-X will cost a clear handful of euros less, add a little extra oomph and provide a welcome update. For 2026, the machine gets a series of technical improvements designed to optimize performance, refine responsiveness and offer an even more competitive rider experience. More powerful, more connected, more precise, this updated version raises the bar even higher in the 250 cm34T class.
Optimized engine response and more explosive starts
The heart of this evolution lies in the work carried out on the engine. Thanks to a completely reworked ECU mapping, the TF 250-X delivers more progressive power, with a much sharper throttle response throughout the rev range. The result: quicker starts, more incisive acceleration out of corners, and a more direct mechanical feel.
This update is accompanied by a new high-performance Exedy clutch, offering sharper engagement, greater endurance in extreme conditions, and enhanced torque capacity. The 5-speed gearbox is still equipped with Brembo hydraulic control and a quickshifter that allows upshifting from 2nd to 5th gear without using the clutch.
Revised intake to comply with new FIM and AMA standards
Triumph has anticipated the new international regulations on noise emissions by completely redesigning the airbox and silencer. The new system guarantees more efficient airflow and a sound signature in keeping with the Triumph identity, while complying with the latest FIM/AMA standards.
Combined with a redesigned, more accessible air filter, the new system plays an active part in the single-cylinder's quicker rev-up and more responsive race behaviour.

Lighter chassis and better-calibrated KYB suspension
The TF 250-X is still based on an ultra-light aluminum chassis, with double-cradle central frame and hydroformed swingarm. But for 2026, suspension tuning has been revised to improve mid-race behavior, increase cornering stability and strengthen overall chassis balance.
It retains its high-end components, including KYB AOS 48mm forks, machined 7075-T6 aluminum tees, and fully adjustable separate reservoir rear shock. The linkage system has also been optimized to guarantee consistent performance on the most demanding terrain.
A racing engine, factory electronics
The high-output 250 cm³ block delivers up to 48 hp at 13,500 rpm, a benchmark figure in its class. With its forged König piston, Del West titanium valves and anti-friction treatments (DLC, carbon coatings and magnesium covers), the Triumph engine combines lightness, explosiveness and reliability.
Engine management is provided by the Athena ECU combined with GET Power Assist, featuring Launch Control, Traction Control and selectable mapping. The bike is also compatible with the MX Tune Pro application, which provides real-time access to engine data, map adjustments and remote diagnostics via a Wi-Fi module.

Premium components designed for competition
The TF 250-X 2026 makes no compromises when it comes to equipment:
- High-performance Brembo brakes with Galfer Wave discs (260 mm front, 220 mm rear)
- DirtStar 7000 Series wheels and Pirelli Scorpion MX32 Mid-Soft tires
- ProTaper ACF handlebars,
- ODI lock-on grips and integrated hourmeter
- Instrument panel with real-time sensors and LED indicators
A new look for a new era
Aesthetically, the TF 250-X is adorned with an all-new, cast-in-material deco kit, in a bright "Triumph Performance Yellow" that affirms the machine's racy, modern style. The 2026 design is part of Triumph's drive to strengthen its visual identity on the racetrack.
A machine born of competition
Developed in close collaboration with Ricky Carmichael and Iván Cervantes, the TF 250-X proved its worth right from the start, winning podiums in AMA Supercross and MX2 in the MXGP world championship.
Steve Sargent, Chief Product Officer at Triumph, comments: "This 2026 version is the culmination of continuous development, guided by feedback from our factory riders. It offers more precision, better traction, and performance that will help every rider make the most of the engine's torque."
