presentation of the 1700 Thunderbird SE 2010
in the world of custom motorcycles, large displacement remains a factor of choice and nobility. Forget about power, because it's torque and its powerful, present, pulsating breath that we're looking for. The Thunderbird 1600 already has something to talk about with its big parallel twin; this 1700 limited series raises the tone. Rather like Harley-Davidson's CVOs, this limited edition Thunderbird features high-quality hand-stitched paintwork and an increase in displacement. The gradations and depth of the Phantom Red Haze and Phantom Blue Haze colors are striking. The larger cubic capacity enables the big British custom to produce 12 more horsepower (95) and 13 more Nm. With 159 Nm in the sprocket, there's no reason to deprive ourselves, so let's be generous. This increase in displacement is achieved thanks to new pistons, liners, camshafts and clutch springs.
Only 100 examples of this 1700 Thunderbird will be produced, 70 in red and 30 in blue. This limited series is specific to France. Triumph France lobbied Hinckley to homologate this version - these 100 T-Bird 1700s will be the only ones available in France. Available from April 2010 at a price... "adapted".
