presentation of the 1200 TIGER EXPLORER XC 2015

a serious competitor to the BMW 1200 GS, the Triumph Explorer is now available in an XC version. Like its smaller 800 siblings, which are available in two sizes, Hinckley's big trail bike intends to expand its range of action. So, what does this episode augur? Quite simply, a more adventurous version.

the most striking change is the adoption of spoked wheels. The 19" and 17" sizes have been retained, in order to enhance the 1200 Explorer's specific comfort and efficiency. On the other hand, it will be able to allow itself excursions in rougher terrain than its standard use. Suspension travel remains identical to that of the standard Explorer.
A number of standard accessories enhance the comfort and ruggedness of the Explorer: a set of hand guards, additional fog lights, an aluminum engine cowling and 22 mm-diameter tubular steel side guards. A further 50 or so accessories can be added from the catalog.

in this Cross Country version, the 1200 Tiger Explorer raises its game. With its big 3-cylinder, cardan shaft, on-board electronics (traction control, disconnectable ABS, cruise control) and dynamic capabilities, the British GT trail bike had already made a strong impression. This XC will appeal to more seasoned enthusiasts, with a barely concealed desire to compete with the R 1200 GS Adventure.

i have had it for 9 years 80.000 km never a corduroy Rating : 5/5
200km/h....?
French Midgardsnake Model 2014
There must be a mistake somewhere... 200km/h max for the Explorer 1200 XC....? I rode it a week ago during a test ride at a dealer's in Leuven, and got up to 225km/h, without daring to put the throttle in the corner... There was still plenty of power to be had... So there's a problem with this "200km/h"... Rating : 5/5

I stand corrected! After getting some information, I learned that the unfortunate residents of France (I live in Belgium) only have access to motorcycles limited to 100hp! Doesn't this go against European directives...? For once, Europe's got something going for it! Be that as it may, and out of respect for this magnificent motorcycle, I think that its true speed should be indicated, and not that resulting from its French "amputation"... Rating : 5/5
tres bonne machine
super engine...top ! Rating : 4/5
French Model 2015
I'm going to buy another one (xc), but I'm going to change the rims so I can fit a 180 rear tire and a 120 front by 17 or 18 (I'm changing the amorto link for a lower one). It's a pity that there's no original model adapted to tarmac, so I could fit great road tires with these sizes Rating : 4/5
French ratel Model 2014
What a bike! The best purchase I could have made. English class and comfort combined, my Spitfire outclasses the competition's Panzersers and Zeros in quality of finish, comfort, exhaust note and power What's more, I swear my Spit doesn't consume much fuel. On the road again, folks! Rating : 5/5
French ratel
We've just completed a 400 km trip on Sunday, on small roads only, and my passenger and I would have liked to ride in comfort again. No regrets, and we've decided to take it out in June 2015 to do the mountain passes in Italy and Austria. By the way, it's true that tastes and colors are not debatable, but frankly, in 2015, the Tiger Explorer is coming out in cherry red... Pfff, not pretty! Rating : 5/5
French GHOST RIDER Model 2014
The best bike I've ever had and no worries at all ;) Rating : 5/5
