six kilos. In 2013, the Triumph 675 Street Triple R was lightened by 6 kilos. Sounds like nothing, but when you're one of the lightest roadsters on the market, losing that much weight is a real tour de force. It's all part of a series of small improvements to this version of the buzzing British mid-size street-fighter. After a symbolic change of headlamp (sacrilege?!?) in mid-2011, the Street is now taking a fresh look at its body to make it even more efficient.

the look remains unchanged, while the silhouette is transformed. The radiator scoops, once discreet, now take on a more visual appearance. The red-painted rear frame loop (Triumph's R-model signature) is all-new, in aluminum, and contributes to the weight reduction. And if you take a closer look at this part of the bike, you'll find that the rear end has become much more streamlined, and I'd even go so far as to say that something is missing...
Bingo! The dual mufflers. They've been replaced by a low-mounted exhaust system. So, yes, the Street Triple loses a little of its identity, but it's all to the good in terms of dynamics: a lower center of gravity, less weight (one less muffler and tubes), and a much airier rear end.
A new swingarm takes its place, anchored to a redesigned frame. This aluminum-tube perimeter looks much like its predecessor, but with fewer parts and fewer welds. Lighter and stiffer, it also boasts a tighter caster angle, down from 23.9° to 23.4°. Already incredibly agile, the little Speed will literally throw itself into the bend.

then come out like a bullet with the fiery temperament of its 3-cylinder. It's one of the few things that doesn't change on this machine. No one will complain. The engine is a complete success, at once playful, powerful, lively, and with a temperament that makes it more than endearing. Power output is unchanged, although the maximum is reached a little later. Probably a consequence of the new exhaust system.
Triumph 675 STREET TRIPLE R 2016as an R version, the 675 Street Triple is more efficient and aimed at a more demanding clientele in terms of handling, both on the road and in sport. Brake calipers are radial and fitted with 4 pistons (axial and 2 pistons on the standard) around 310 mm discs - the 19 mm master cylinder is also radial. A handlebar-disconnectable, parameterizable ABS is included with this new generation.
the R offers improved suspension with more travel and full adjustability; the 41 mm inverted fork and separate reservoir shock are adjustable for rebound, compression and preload.

a true star in its class, the Street Triple is tempting... for amateurs and rogues. The latter will find it much more difficult to get their hands on it now that it's finally protected by a coded key. If you're tempted by the track, a shifter is available as an option.
Stylistically, this redesign will make some people cringe. Technically, Hinckley's little bombshell is more lively than ever. It's a real treat for the rider, but not so much for the competition.

So yes, it doesn't have the "patina" of a GSXR1000 or a ZX10R, which I've had the pleasure of owning, but the lightness of the machine and the availability of the engine make it a very pleasant bike to ride on departmental roads, the preferred roads for this motorcycle. Rating : 4/5
French Bip bip Model 2015
Excellent roadholding, easy to handle, light and then an engine at low revs from the coupling, but from 5 or 6,000 revs a hell of a recovery with a sick potato. But to drive alone with 2 not great. Quite expensive to maintain every 20000kms, around 500euros Rating : 4/5
French Bip bip Model 2015
Original tires hot in the rain very good in the dry but wear quickly otherwise nothing to complain about to drive alone with two not great Rating : 4/5

Hello
Happy owner of a street triple r 2014 which is my first motorcycle and is very well suited to a beginner but be very careful because it's a bike that throws pretty hard at the recovery and has a very lively cycle part
i chose this model because it's really great to ride
Its three-cylinder engine is truly magical, being both smooth and torquey at low revs for leisurely riding, but once up to speed it really kicks ass
There's nothing to say about this bike, it's a real pleasure every time I ride it
The only downside for me is the muffler, which covers the three-cylinder character and isn't very aesthetic, but that can quickly be remedied with an adaptable muffler.
for me a bike to recommend because it has a real engine character and to try it is to adopt it

If you change the pot, fit a light with integrated indicators, have a single, lighter rear-view mirror, remove the rear plates and replace the battery with a lithium one, you should still save between 3.5 and 5kg. Rating : 5/5
French fred
with a homologous hp corse hydroform silencer you save no more and no less than 5 kg!!!! Rating : 4/5
French Escargot
Salut, ah ouai quand même, donc au final on peut descendre de 7 à 9Kg au moins ! çà ça doit être un vrai vélo cette bécane ! mais c'est vrai qu'en la cubant à 800, on y gainait énormément... Rating : 5/5

a good all-rounder, and probably the best in its class, but coming from an 1100 monster aero, the lack of torque makes itself felt. efficiency, but less pleasure than on a bi. I say this to those who might be tempted to downsize. Rating : 4/5
French fred
yes \" escargot \" le pot hp corse hydroform 5kg de moins une batterie au lithium 1 k à 1,5 kg de moins et ablation des repose-pieds passagers pas loin d\'un kg ( estimation ) . On the other hand, my 1st driving impressions were that the steering was very tight, which cancelled out the lightness phenomenon at very low speeds. Now it's a featherweight all the same. beware of the hp corse hydroform pot, even though it's homologated, it's very, very noisy. i wonder how it could be homologated with such a noise level. that said, the sound is very deep and virile, but tiring in the long run. think before you buy Rating : 4/5
French Escargot !
For the steering, move the forks up a little in the fork T's and you'll gain in manoeuvrability, but you'll lose a little stability at very high speeds, so you'll have to find the right compromise! Rating : 5/5

Happy owner of the 2012 Street R, I'm crying over this 2013! Gone is the pleasure of riding a BEAUTIFUL English bike, it feels more like riding a Japanese one!
A pale copy of a Ducati in color (red and white), with the exhaust on the bottom like all the other models (even though it's more efficient), I can't find the charm that turned me on to this bike!
A benchmark in its class, it should inspire, not the other way round!

I don't think I'll ever ride this bike again!
