presentation of the 675 STREET TRIPLE R 2016
six kilos. In 2013, the Triumph 675 Street Triple R was lightened by 6 kilos. Sounds like nothing, but when you're one of the lightest roadsters on the market, losing that much weight is a real tour de force. It's all part of a series of small improvements to this version of the buzzing British mid-size street-fighter. After a symbolic change of headlamp (sacrilege?!?) in mid-2011, the Street is now taking a fresh look at its body to make it even more efficient.
the look remains unchanged, while the silhouette is transformed. The radiator scoops, once discreet, now take on a more visual appearance. The red-painted rear frame loop (Triumph's R-model signature) is all-new, in aluminum, and contributes to the weight reduction. And if you take a closer look at this part of the bike, you'll find that the rear end has become much more streamlined, and I'd even go so far as to say that something is missing...
Bingo! The dual mufflers. They've been replaced by a low-mounted exhaust system. So, yes, the Street Triple loses a little of its identity, but it's all to the good in terms of dynamics: a lower center of gravity, less weight (one less muffler and tubes), and a much airier rear end.
A new swingarm takes its place, anchored to a redesigned frame. This aluminum-tube perimeter looks much like its predecessor, but with fewer parts and fewer welds. Lighter and stiffer, it also boasts a tighter caster angle, down from 23.9° to 23.4°. Already incredibly agile, the little Speed will literally throw itself into the bend.
then come out like a bullet with the fiery temperament of its 3-cylinder. It's one of the few things that doesn't change on this machine. No one will complain. The engine is a complete success, at once playful, powerful, lively, and with a temperament that makes it more than endearing. Power output is unchanged, although the maximum is reached a little later. Probably a consequence of the new exhaust system.
the R offers improved suspension with more travel and full adjustability; the 41 mm inverted fork and separate reservoir shock are adjustable for rebound, compression and preload.
a true star in its class, the Street Triple is tempting... for amateurs and rogues. The latter will find it much more difficult to get their hands on it now that it's finally protected by a coded key. If you're tempted by the track, a shifter is available as an option.
Stylistically, this redesign will make some people cringe. Technically, Hinckley's little bombshell is more lively than ever. It's a real treat for the rider, but not so much for the competition.

Happy owner of a street triple r 2014 which is my first motorcycle and is very well suited to a beginner but be very careful because it's a bike that throws pretty hard at the recovery and has a very lively cycle part
i chose this model because it's really great to ride
Its three-cylinder engine is truly magical, being both smooth and torquey at low revs for leisurely riding, but once up to speed it really kicks ass
There's nothing to say about this bike, it's a real pleasure every time I ride it
The only downside for me is the muffler, which covers the three-cylinder character and isn't very aesthetic, but that can quickly be remedied with an adaptable muffler.
for me a bike to recommend because it has a real engine character and to try it is to adopt it

A pale copy of a Ducati in color (red and white), with the exhaust on the bottom like all the other models (even though it's more efficient), I can't find the charm that turned me on to this bike!
A benchmark in its class, it should inspire, not the other way round!
I don't think I'll ever ride this bike again!
