presentation of the 1200 BONNEVILLE T 120 Diamond 2019
A special series usually commemorates a feat of arms, a rider, a race, and as in this case, an anniversary. It's been 60 years since the appearance of one of Triumph's most famous, if not most iconic, models, the Bonneville. The 'Diamond' limited edition marks this huge chapter in the brand's history.
the Bonnie T120 is in charge of the festivities. Its pearl-white color scheme features a delicately grayed Union Jack flag on the tank. A certificate signed by Triumph boss Nick Bloor will ennoble the bike.
Six decades of roads, jackets, oil and stories. An icon for England, a jewel for fans. And so it must shine in all its finery. Not with a thousand lights, like the precious stone whose name it bears, but with flashes of chrome, with which certain parts are fitted: the tank badge, the engine covers, the badges and the chain guard.
The Bonneville 'Diamond' is elegantly styled, much more restrained than the blue/orange color scheme adopted by the Bonneville 865 T 100 50th Anniversary.
the same engine, chassis and electronic components are used as on a standard Bonneville 1200. With its 80 hp, 10.7 mkg twin, a frame and suspension that are perfectly up to the task of taking you for a ride (even a light one), spoked wheels, ABS, traction control, riding modes, heated grips, LED signature, English charm and fake carburettors that always make an impression.
This 1200 Bonneville T120 'Diamond Edition' will be produced in 900 units. A passage through time, a desire to be eternal.
