...with a touch of white. A delicate combination, in keeping with a tuxedo or a shirt and frock coat ensemble. To celebrate 10 years of partnership between Triumph and the"Distinguished Gentleman's Ride" (D.G.R), a Bonneville has been created in a limited series, with a particularly distinguished yet relatively discreet dress.
Last year, Triumph came up trumps with the Gibson-edition Bonneville; alas, it was a one-off, not sold to the D.G.R.'s top contributor. This time, the Bonneville will be on the market. A special edition of 250, of which only 30 will be available in France.
For 2023, the Bonneville presents its grand evening tributes. A shiny black dress covers the T120, leaving its bust impregnated with a milky patina. When the eye passes from one to the other, it appreciates the DGR logo and the gold piping on the tank. Similar stripes run around the side panels, which are also adorned with a large DGR.
Any other special features? Yes, there are: a brown saddle with stitching, a certificate of authenticity signed by Triumph's boss and the creator of the DGR, and something very exclusive for the first model. It will be given to the person who raises the most money for the 2023 edition. What's more, for every bike sold, a donation will be made to the DGR.
Let's take this opportunity to briefly remind you what the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is all about. It's a worldwide gathering of bikers in distinguished attire on vintage and classic motorcycles, with the aim of raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer.
Based on the 1200 Bonneville "Black", this DGR will move with the depth and breath of a big twin, 10.7 mkg strong at just 3,500 rpm. Its power output is just 80 hp, but as you twist the throttle, you quickly realize that this figure means little. The trunk is full of English punch, and the drive is both bold and deceptively bucolic.
Equipment includes Brembo brakes, spoked wheels, ABS, traction control, cruise control, two riding modes, under-seat USB port, anti-dribble clutch... and, of course, the timeless charm of the Bonneville.
