presentation of the MT-03 320 2025
It's not that she looked too nice, but... just a little. While the first MT-03 (in 300 format) blended in perfectly with the Master of Torque family, it was becoming a little too phlegmatic in the face of the patient faces of the MT-10 and MT-09.
Those days are over, and this version 2 gains a menacing, even fierce bow to take on the roadsters of a segment that's gaining in importance.
Be a player, be a show-off, so be it. The Yamaha is adorned with a particularly sharp, feline look. Too bad the mouth is obscured by a bubonic headlight. We'll have to make do, cursing the horn we still haven't managed to hide. But the MT-03's front end puts a smile back on your face. A clear desire for sportiness emerges with the adoption of a 37 mm inverted fork in place of the conventional 41 mm model. This means the ride can be more incisive, more strident, but without provoking fire. Let's stay in context: this is a 300.
Still equipped with its Diamond-type tubular steel frame, it takes advantage of its redesign to get a stiffer rear shock with revised settings. The rest of the chassis remains unchanged. One brake disc per wheel, ABS, tires that aren't too big, and you're good to go.

And yet, the MT-03 seems intent on packing a punch. It's not just the face that's been physiologically modified. The body's shoulders have been reworked, with air intake gills borrowed from the old MT-09. A nice injection of style, ending with a flattering dashboard update. To make you feel like you're on a machine with guts and grit, the digital instrument cluster replicates that of the former MT-10, only simpler. Tapered LED turn signals round off this evolution, with a much more fashionable finesse.
With this 320 MT-03 II, Yamaha doesn't upset the apple cart, but it does give its A2 roadster a lot more composure. The machine is visually meaner, with a stronger front end, and also wants its share of the MT family's hooliganism. The price is still rising, but so are its ambitions.
