presentation of the FZ6 600 FAZER S2 2010

for a manufacturer, a model as important and emblematic as the Fazer needs to be pampered and handled with care.the Fazer needs to be pampered and handled with care, and when it comes to touching it up, Yam has chosen only 2 solutions in the past: either a complete overhaul, or very minor touch-ups. 3 years ago, it was a completely new model; this year, it's a small evolution aimed at preserving the essentials and subtly modifying certain aspects.

evolution code: S2. An additional appendix to the Fazer name to identify this 2nd generation relift. Don't look to the frame or engine for differences, it's all around you. The FZ6 S2 has a slightly different look, with a redesigned fork head with raised sides (no longer covering the top of the radiator), a different bubble, new one-piece brake cones (for the FZ6 S2), and a new front end.(they no longer cover the top of the radiator), a different bubble, new one-piece brake pads (they look like those on the R1 before it switched to radial braking), a new mudguard, and a number of features that deserve a little more attention. The new seat, better designed, with a different covering and foam, should improve comfort on board.
In the forkhead, the information has also changed. The old round instrument cluster, with its not-so-readable rev counter, has been replaced by the FZ1's instrumentation.
Yamaha seems to have listened to criticism of the passenger footrests. These are no longer welded to the rear frame, but fixed by a conventional set of screws. Much more practical and easier in the event of breakage. For the passenger's comfort, they are lower and fitted with rubber pads.
The main chassis modification: the swingarm. More flattering in appearance, the new swingarm has a hexagonal cross-section and is made of cast and extruded aluminum, with the aim of optimizing rigidity and agility.
Engine-wise, there are no changes to the R6 's block, but a revised injection map and a new exhaust system with new internal components.

this 2007 version of the FZ6 Fazer does not replace the 2006 Fazer. The latter will continue its career alongside the S2, but with less power (78 hp). A way of having a nice all-round roadster and a more muscular version in the same range.

Light and handy
French Tiracotix Model 2007
I'm a fan, it's my second bike before I was on a 125. This bike is light, easy to handle and a real gem. Rating : 5/5

Purchase in April 2025 of this 2010 bike with 20,000 kms, I hadn't ridden a motorcycle for 20 years, I was recommended this bike, very easy, light and easy to handle, I'm happy with my choice Modifications: (Aliexpress) Handlebar riser for less leaning All LED lights Side stand skid In the pipeline: Exhaust silencer and catalytic converter removal Givi 45+ support and top case Take the saddle to a saddler Rating : 5/5

I have a 2010 model in black that I bought new.
I haven't changed much, just the white blinker caps, Akra titanium pots (with dB killers in the backpack), a 12V socket and Top Block pads. A real bike, even if the suspension is sometimes a little too reactive to the trigger (fork). I'm back from a 4-day long weekend (1581 kms including 620 kms of mountain roads, including the Alsace/Vosges route des crêtes). Well, I'm very happy with this bike and its handling in the twisties, despite the prohibited speeds in 2nd, 3rd and sometimes 4th gear at 6000/8000 rpm. Lively when overtaking, it really does its job. On the downside, my rear end was really sore after 620 km of mountain roads in one day... But what a kick!

Renouveau
2007 model, A2 license.
\Thanks to the new laws, I was able to buy it.
Vehicle purchased at the concessio, 25500 on the odometer.
Despite the bridle, and coming off a Gladius SFV 650 (an ATV, I'd say .... ), I've been riding it for a week now.

What can I say ...
Road holding : Ok
Handling : Ok
Ergonomics : Ok
Comfort : Ok ( comfort saddle )
Riding position : Ok
Noise level : Ok
Fuel consumption ...... Ouch, we've reached a sensitive point.
It doesn't suck too much, but at higher revs you're bound to make friends with the local BP/Total.

Nothing to complain about, I'm continuing my biker life with a marvel, waiting to stick a double devil on it to make it sing, heated grips are the order of the day, .... I'm not going to leave her alone!

very pleasant bike, supple and torquey, super easy to handle, I have more than 20 years of motorcycle experience on all types of engine, it's good for everything, even long trips with a comfortable seat, I'm completely satisfied and I intend to keep it for a long time. Rating : 5/5

I have a FZ6 GT ABS bought with 76000 kms (the one with the lower fairing), it's my 22nd bike and my first 600 (I started with a BMW R 1100). I was a little surprised at first, finding the bike very small, and the cable clutch with its enormous travel baffled me. This is the bike I use on a daily basis for commuting to work, as I also own a Gold 1800. Well, this FZ6 won me over, it's rather hollow at the bottom and only really works above 10,000 rpm, in 3rd gear you're at 180 and you can feel the handlebars becoming light, light... I'm not used to small displacement bikes, and I'm more of an attack rider. At first, I felt a bit weird being able to practically touch the ground with my hand when cornering. As a result, I'm selling the Gold (I don't ride it anymore!), an excellent bike. The only drawback is the fuel consumption, a little over 6 liters, which is as much as my old BMW 1200 GS, and the hard seat, which gives me a pain in the ass after 30 minutes, and the pots that heat up under the seat in town. But as soon as I get out of town, I open up on the back roads and get a real buzz!

French Manu Model 2007
I bought the fz6 S2 this summer. Before it, I had a 2003 R1. Repression oblige (all the controls were for me, yet it was all original, right down to the plate holder and in near-new condition despite its 70,000 km! Anyway). After a 4-year break (without a bike), I'm back in the mood, but I'm going to start again as a dodger. A midsize will do, I love yamaha and the fazer is making my eyes water. My buddy Eric and these women each have one,
One from '98 and one from 2002. I'm trying the latest one, and I'm convinced. At first I think it's temporary, but I keep it. A high bubble to resolve the lack of protection, heated grips for winter, and off we go.
The only major fault of the model is the absence of a trunk! Even the one on my old R1 was bigger! Un comble ! But that's its only flaw, in my opinion!

A very good, very complete and somewhat unique motorcycle: both a good, sporty 600cm3 4-cylinder roadster appreciated by connoisseurs, and a very versatile motorcycle thanks to a fork head that can accommodate a high bubble if required, improved saddle comfort on this latest version (unfortunately no longer on the market), and good fuel consumption/range. Add to this the bike's aesthetics/finish, which has aged little (the look is virtually unchanged but still looks modern since 2004), its attractive colors (magnificent in sky blue), and an engine that's explosive in the rev range, though a little lazy at low and mid-range revs - but this should be sorted out after a long and appropriate break-in period - and you have a bike that will do more than provide simple everyday services, becoming a tool for sporty riding and a bike capable of travel and occasional duo riding. It won't do everything excellently, but it will do everything well. An excellent compromise for some. Rating : 5/5

Really a great bike! I just bought the 2007 red version, very pleasant to ride... I really recommend it! Rating : 5/5
French Juillet-bo Model 2007
July arrives, and it's time to replace the grinding wheel (30,000 kilometers/year)
Very happy with the 2006 FZ6S(1?), I swap it for the 2007 model, which is very little different (same frame, engine, etc.)
However, there were some (minor) disappointments
The dashboard shines the sun right back in my face, as the 2006's all-round dash did not
The smaller bubble doesn't protect me at all, and my shoulders feel like they're dragging, whereas they weren't with the 2006 (wider bubble)
The lookheed AR cap is now visible (it's useless and ugly)
Otherwise, for the price, it's still the best 600 on the planet - in my opinion.

i had a blue 2002 model and it was already a great bikeo.....this one pleases me much more than the current model...which in fact I never liked!!! this one reminds me of mine ....which I always regretted....I had changed it for a SV650N ......this should like the 2002 be a very good plan...I just hope there is a little more pep at mid-range...it will be perfect..thank you mister yamaha !!!!!
