presentation of the MT-09 850 STREET RALLY 2014

announced as a warning shot, the MT-09's 3-cylinder engine immediately won over a lot of people. Even before putting its wheels down on the tarmac, the motorcycling community was thrilled to see a Japanese manufacturer offering (once again) a 3-cylinder engine. During his recent test ride, Oli the Belgian made no secret of his enthusiasm for the block.

the MT-09 likes to play, and play with style with this Street Rally version. With its Supermotard-esque outfit, the Yam roadster has a real Moto Tour feel to it... lE S.R benefits from a few minor adjustments to reveal a sportier approach to riding. The riding position changes slightly, with the MT-09 SR benefiting from a flatter, higher seat. Check out the new radiator scoops, headlamp surround, cross-design handguards and small beak under the headlamp, then look down at the engine block. Nice magnesium finish on the cylinder head cover and crankcase. Let's move quickly past the embryonic engine block to discover this MT's wind instrument. A complete Akrapovic titanium line plays the music in three chords. Once the ignition is switched on, the 3-cylinder is bellowing, and your urge to go wild is activated, your boots will be happy with the new footrests offering improved grip.

a bit of Valentino Rossi nightlife, a few accessories, an excited face and a desire for Supermot' - these are the essential virtues of the MT-09 Street Rally. Nothing exceptional, but a rather fun exercise in attractiveness.
