presentation of the 749 S 2003

To shake up the world of 4-cylinder Supersports, Ducati offers an evolution of the 749. Halfway between the extreme R version and the standard, the S boasts not only a more powerful engine, but also DUCATI 749 Sequipment that's pretty close to a factory wheel. Just take a look: adjustable footrest and rear brake pedal, as is the seat-tank assembly on the single-seater version, Showa rear shock absorber, radial brake master cylinder, 4 pads per caliper... it's starting to talk! Riding the machine remains an unforgettable experience. As rigorous as ever in its road handling, it's above all in the engine that the differences can be felt. The standard 749 's twin lacked a little torque, and the quest for more power has robbed it of some of its peachiness. You have to go for power at high revs, with the smile that the twin's growl instinctively provokes.

French Model 2003
a motorcycle for experienced riders: enjoyment of the two-cylinder engine, quite rough and thrilling on acceleration (all the more so with the termignoni sport exhaust kit, reserved for the track...a delight!) very efficient handling, good rider acceptance except in town; this is a sporty character and that's what makes it an exceptional motorcycle in my eyes, especially as its lines leave no one indifferent: you either like it or you don't! Rating : 5/5
French Model 2003
a pure marvel, I'm spellbound!
it's temperamental, delightful, temperamental, but if you put up with it, it'll give you back the sensations a hundredfold; you have to keep your eyes peeled every day (it's a racing bike!)for the rest, comfort is astonishing, with a very flat gel seat that respects your posterior, especially as the suspension is of very good quality, although you should avoid dirt roads. The handling is top-notch, and the braking is in unison, parisian traffic jams aren't its cup of tea (it heats up quickly), but as soon as you escape onto the country lanes, it's ABSOLUTE bliss. As for the tires and transmissions, the wear is normal, all that's left to do is find the front brake pads in the adaptable parts section, which are outrageously expensive (solid gold, 200 euros for 2 sets)......
