at Harley, access to large-displacement motorcycles is via the Dyna range. The Super Glide is certainly the machine most ready to let you discover the beats of the big Twin Cam. The Custom version is all about chrome and style. Spoked rims, a single front brake disc, a low seat height, a devastating mouth - what more could you want? Initiator of the "factory custom" movement, the Dyna Super Glide Custom isn't really a factory custom, but more a big 1690 cm3 Sportster, with big torque and vibrations contained by the silent-blocks (the 103 Cubic Inches is mounted supple in the double steel cradle). 2014 brought it the few cm3 it lacked to play in the same cubage as the family pals. Just a few mm of bore and the Twin Cam has been revamped. Enough to make it more demonstrative. You can have a bit of fun on this Dyna, but not too much, as the moderate braking and side friction are natural sedatives to too much enthusiasm. A pity. Since 2006, the machine has been fitted with a wider rear tire (160) with a 17" wheel, a larger-diameter fork and, in 2007, a new Fat Bob-type fuel tank. With a price tag approaching 15,000 euros, the Super Glide Custom is one of the most affordable "big Harleys", but certainly not the least interesting.
