presentation of the ZRX 1100 R 1998

eddie Lawson - The name rings a bell. If you're also a fan of 80s Superbikes, you'll want to pay more than a little attention to the ZRX 1100 R. Admire this big roadster with its distinctive replica decor, its swingarm with inverted reinforcement, and the touch of the past with its square fork head. Such a singular machine has to have a big heart - no question of having a chili con carne with a taste of steamed potato - and no worries there. The impressive 4-legged is bursting with torque. It's quick off the mark, with no lag time, and climbs the revs with vigor. Big watts, big reach, can the chassis keep up?
No problem. Roadholding is excellent, with the machine accepting all situations and staying glued to the asphalt. The suspension is a little dry, but this doesn't detract from the bike's dynamic qualities. Don't worry about braking. The discs are gripped by sturdy 6-piston calipers.

With this big roadster, Kawa takes on the Yamaha 1300 XJR and the Suzuki Bandit 1200 and GSX. Its particularly jubilant character and expressive looks make it a machine of choice.

Excellente machine
French Audi2a Model 2000
I came down from a full-size 1100 ZZR in 2008 and chose this bike, which I still love! It's well past the 100,000 mark and still runs just as well. Iridium spark plugs and a lithium-ion battery give it flawless starts, and when fitted to a Metzeler Roadtec 01 ... it holds the pavement and the fear strip has long since disappeared ... in short, I'm 64 years old and I'm still having just as much fun! Preferably a machine for experienced riders .. Rating : 5/5

I've been the proud owner of a 1999 Kawasaki ZRX 1100 for the past 3 years, after parting with its big sister the 1200 a decade ago
Reliable, packed with torque and timeless looks, this big roadster is an exceptional machine. Still criticized for its lack of comfort as a duo, it is nonetheless much appreciated by my partner and my daughters. The kilometers are swallowed up without fatigue, and the particularly reasonable cost of maintenance remains an asset for those who don't want to break the bank
For these twenty springs, I've given it a beautiful stainless-steel exhaust system, adding an unrivalled throaty sound. The 106 horsepower are more than sufficient, and are no match for the new, sanitized contenders pumped up on growth hormones
In short, a beautiful toy worthy of the greatest Japanese creations.

this 1999 ZRX 1100 is a real beauty, she's just turned 20, I've had her since 2007, I just can't seem to part with her! It has 60000 km, no expenses, runs like clockwork, without having made any expenses more than the current maintenance, it has the trunk when I ask it, at 50 years old it becomes heavy for me, but good ... What to find better in the same robust engine!
Bonne route a vous tous les motards ...

i've owned this machine for 6 years now, I've passed the 100,000 km mark for normal maintenance and I've never had any major problems with my ZRX 1100. I love it, it's fast, it's not to be put in every hand without a chicane, it makes a noise! oops, it's gone! to all the zriste out there, do what I do, enjoy it and have a good ride! Rating : 5/5

hello

i currently have a triumph sprint RS 955 from 2004 ,,,, super machine that pushes well ,,,,, 300 kms before reserve ,,,,,

BUT ,,, at 60 years old my lumbar vertebrae tickle me ,,,, so as I like it to grow hairy ,,,, reading the tests I think the ZRX would suit me well ,,,,
my hesitation between the 1100 and the 1200 comes from the fuel consumption,,, 5.9 /100 kms for the 1100 (true???) against 7.5/100 for the 1200 careenée ,,,,
and to know if the 1200 S fairing can be mounted on the 1100????

who can help me choose ????

thank you all

i'm not lucky enough to have a REPLICA but simply an 1100 from 1999 and I can tell you that it's a man's bike that's made for solo rides and preferably on winding roads (because it holds the pavement, accelerates hard and brakes well)
tic

ps: I wouldn't recommend it as a first bike except for reasonable people!
but to try it is to adopt it!

I bought my 1100 ZRX in 1988. this bike is still a pleasure to ride and admire, low maintenance, never broken down, good character after all these years. To date, 5500 miles and no serious problems. I don't regret my purchase, it's the right bike for me, I'm 52 and still crazy about my 1100 ZRX. Rating : 5/5

Hi everyone! New to the 1100 ZRX club, I've got 50 Broomsticks... and a few shots under my belt. I'm getting to know the beast! which, it's true, is not stingy when it comes to distilling pleasure. So I'm looking to improve the lot... of my sweet, sweet passenger. So, for the duo, I'd like to know if there's an adaptable footrest extender, so that she can appreciate the machine to the full, for a better life on board. The goal is to ride hard! ! ! Thanks in advance! and V tarmo du RR. GAZIER ZRX ! Rating : 5/5

Hello all bikers. I'm 23 and I've been the proud owner of a '97 Kawa ZRX for 1 year. This is my second bike after a 600 diversion, so it's not the same story. Big torque at low and mid revs, brutal acceleration and the engine revs up very quickly. It can be ridden in a sporty manner, but you'll soon realize that this is not its strong point
It's a very good machine that can cover thousands of kilometers; I have absolutely no regrets about my purchase!

i've got a zrx 1100 from august 2000, it's my 5th bike! i'm 38 years old, and this bike is really by far a marvel! from every point of view! be careful though, it's not a beginner's bike! it can be dangerous! because of its power! it's very easy to maintain! my son is 10 years old, and he has a lot of fun maintaining it, because it's so easy! of course it's easy to maintain! there's plenty of room with the 6-liter trunk under the seat! I put a U, a little anti-puncture spray, a little grease spray, and a pair of well-folded rain pants in there! and there's also a glove compartment with the tool kit, this zrx is really a marvel! a little bubble wouldn't go amiss.bonne route! LOLO. Rating : 5/5
French Atrus Model 2000
Me too, I'm 43 years old and.... a beautiful ZRX for almost 6 years! Apart from its superb "assassin" face and unique lines, this bike is great and can do everything. I went to Nova Scotia this summer. 4600 km on all roads. She's imperial. I felt like changing last year, but I can't figure out what machine would replace it. 2 wheels, handlebars and a big engine, that's the recipe that Kawa has solved magnificently. Rating : 5/5
French david Model 2000
i'm stunned to tell you the truth, I recently bought a ZRX1100 whose original noise seemed a bit bland, so I opted for a devil line and I must say that this machine is really impressive on all levels, it's an example of reliability and I totally disagree with the opinions of users who say that it's a sinkhole in consumables (gas, pads, tires etc. ...) i kept a ZRX 1100 for 3 years, once I'd found the balance between fork and shocks, then became "free". WHAT A KICK! The engine is pure joy (it bumps in 4th gear). What's more, it's a trouble-free machine. I sold it because I was riding too hard. I regret it every day, and yes, even at 43 you can make mistakes. Rating : 5/5
