presentation of the 350 EXC-F 2012
kTM applies the recipe for success from the 2010 MX World Championship to the Enduro World Championship. The new 350 EXC-F combines the ultra-maneuverability of a 250cc with the generous power of a 450cc. The result: optimum chances of victory for pros and maximum fun for amateurs. Unrivalled to date, the enduro character of the 350 EXC-F is marked by the performance of the high-tech DOHC four-stroke and extraordinarily efficient handling.
engine
The 350 EXC-F's compact, ultra-modern four-stroke engine boasts a very wide usable rpm range and performance worthy of a larger-displacement engine. A side-mounted balancer shaft, which drives both the timing chain and the water pump, eliminates the vibrations typical of this type of engine.
cylinder head
The cylinder head with its two overhead camshafts houses the four titanium valves actuated by extremely light carbon rocker arms. This sophisticated valve train, the ultra-light piston and the extremely short stroke of the new 350 EXC-F engine allow engine speeds of up to 13,000 rpm.
balancer shaft
The balancer shaft not only eliminates vibrations, but also serves as an intermediate distribution shaft and water pump drive. This intelligent concentration of tasks contributes decisively to the compactness and reduced weight of the new 350 EXC-F engine.
crankshaft
When designing the crankshaft for the new 350 EXC-F, KTM engineers focused on reducing and harmonizing moving masses. The result is a combination of minimal vibration, maximum revs and optimum traction.
oil circuit
The engine of the new EXC-F 350 is equipped with two oil pumps. A pressure pump lubricates the engine and clutch and cools the ignition, while a vacuum pump draws oil from the crankcase and lubricates the gearbox. The crankcase is thus subjected to a vacuum, providing additional engine power.
eMS
The Keihin Engine Management System with its electronic fuel injection guarantees spontaneous engine response and maximum performance. An optional "Map Select" selector allows different engine characteristics to be activated.
clutch
The 350 EXC-F's new clutch, with its robust steel housing and gear-saving anti-shock device, uses a disc spring for the first time, instead of the usual spiral springs, considerably reducing activation effort. Brembo® hydraulic control allows sensitive modulation of the clutch.
gearbox
The 6-speed gearbox of the new 350 EXC-F has been specially sized to match the character of the 350 cc engine and the needs of enduro riding. It stands out for its ease and precision of operation.
muffler
The silencer on the new 350 EXC-F reduces noise levels to meet the most stringent future standards.
frame
The lightweight frame of the new 350 EXC-F, made from high-quality chromium-molybdenum steel, is extremely resistant to torsion. It is also remarkably responsive to shocks transmitted by the suspension, further enhancing the handling and comfort of the 350 EXC-F.
swingarm, PDS
The 350 EXC-F's lightweight forged-aluminum swingarm houses the WP shock absorber almost in its center, for better load distribution. The PDS shock absorber, with rebound damping and High/Lowspeed compression adjustment, works with great progression despite its direct-engagement mounting.
telescopic fork
The new 350 EXC-F is equipped with the latest WP upside-down fork with a wide adjustment range. The sensitive response and excellent damping of the open cartridge fork with 48 mm (1.89 in) tubes contribute greatly to the 350 EXC-F's extraordinary handling and precision.
wheels
The wheels could hardly be lighter and more stable, with their machined hubs, Excel rims, zinc/nickel-coated spokes and aluminum nipples. Unsprung mass and gyroscopic effect are reduced, contributing to the 350 EXC-F's extraordinary maneuverability.
electric starter
The new 350 EXC-F is equipped with both a kick and an electric starter. The electric starter motor is housed in the generator cover rather than in the engine crankcase, so that by simply exchanging the cover, you can switch to kick starting only.
bodywork
The new 350 SX-F's bodywork, with its slim seat and spoiler lines and excellent contact points, further enhances its ergonomics, making it even easier and more precise to ride. The long mudguard protects the rider very effectively against stone chips.

I want to buy a 2012 ktm 350exc-f..
I did the test it was great!
But you have to pull a button every time you want to start it, not very fast, it's like a choke, but the machine is injection, I do not understand!
every time I gave gas, when I released it, it made a back fire?
If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated..
I want to know if all this is normal
thank you

i'm 54 years old and the proud owner of a 350 EX CF 2013.
After having had several KTMs (7th) . This is my second 350 ... The first in 2012 took the place of a 250 (2007).
The first 350 was really a great compromise between my 250 and the 400 I had before (no more piston stroke) and much easier to handle.
The 350 allowed me to do everything (a Morocco raid, a Brazil raid) without ever having had the slightest problem, even with Brazilian fuel, in faraway places 4000 km without a hitch. And of course the good old Breton Sunday rides.....
With the 2013 ... Recently, I've had very few comments on the differences, apart from the impression that, to date, I've been hyper-performant but a little less FUN...
I'll have a look at my multiplications again, and why not ask for a cartographic correction, if possible adapted to my use...
And if a major flaw for me (1.69 m) difficult even with high heels .and how to lower this bike without making it lose performance .....à hear you on it ...
Seat modification
Modify suspension...
Ou autre ...
Happy man in 2012 d\'avoir the chance to ride this kind of bike .... Rating : 4/5 Respond to MG
