presentation of the 350 EXC-F 2015
the 350 EXC-F is the ultimate enduro bike when it comes to optimum handling and enduro performance. Thanks to its powerful, compact DOHC engine, light weight and perfectly matched chassis, this machine masters all terrain difficulties with sovereign ease. And its playful handling remains a great advantage when conditions get really tough. Whether you're a professional rider or a beginner, you'll enjoy it all the way. Maximum pleasure guaranteed.
frame
The modern design of the 350 EXC-F's frame in lightweight, high-strength chromium-molybdenum steel tubing combines maximum longitudinal rigidity with optimum torsional rigidity. This not only ensures good handling and precise steering, but also excellent ride stability. The new frame not only shines in its new colors, but also clearly sets new standards in terms of weight and stability. The frame of this 2015 version shines in the same orange as the KTM factory team models, making its design even more attractive. It's also easier to maintain and offers more space for the fuel tank and other components. The frame design, combined with the PDS rear shock absorber, optimally dissipates rear-wheel shocks.
swingarm
The cast aluminum swingarm has been designed using state-of-the-art calculation and simulation software; the design and wall thickness ensure minimum weight for optimum strength and a perfectly defined flex.
suspension / damping
The KTM 350 EXC-F features individual suspension tuning perfectly matched to its weight and engine. The high-quality WP suspension components have been specially designed for enduro use, ensuring maximum grip and comfort. at the rear, a PDS shock absorber with direct connection above the swingarm. A wide range of fork rebound damping settings, as well as Highspeed and Lowspeed compression damping, come as standard with KTM.
fork crowns
The fork crowns have been specially designed for enduro use, ensuring precise handling by supporting the fork flex. The rider receives precise feedback from the front wheel even on the toughest terrain, increasing safety and speed.
fairing
The fairing has been designed with ergonomics and functionality in mind, so that every detail of the bike is in perfect harmony with the rider.
air box
The ingenious design of the airbox ensures optimum protection of the air filter from dirt, and maximum air flow for enhanced performance. The airbox covers are manufactured using a two-component process, with new "Inmould" graphics. Filter replacement is quick and tool-free. Two additional tabs on the cover also allow it to be secured with screws.
handlebars
All EXC models are equipped with extremely sturdy Neken tapered handlebars made from a solid aluminum alloy. The tried-and-tested KTM system enables the handlebars (now black anodized) to be fixed in a choice of four positions. For the 2015 model year, the handguards are made from a new material that ensures greater impact resistance.
tachometer
The new MAE tachometer integrates all indicator lights into a single component (with the exception of the turn signals). The cockpit is clear and uncluttered, making all available information easy to read.
exhaust
Lightweight and robust. The aluminum mufflers on EXC models are renowned for their excellent performance and low noise levels, well below FIM standards. For its 2015 version, the 350 EXC-F benefits from a new muffler with a perforated tube to reduce noise levels and further improve performance.
wheels
The wheels feature new Giant 7050 T6 aluminum rims, with black-coated spokes, lightweight aluminum nipples and CNC-machined hub, guaranteeing maximum stability for minimum weight. Maxxis enduro tires specially developed for KTM offer perfect grip and excellent performance.
brakes
High-tech Brembo brakes have long been standard on KTM off-road bikes, with lightweight Wave disc brakes for optimum braking performance. Best-in-class enduro brakes, they remain unchanged on this 2015 version.
engine
The ultra-modern 350 cm3 4-stroke engine with electronic fuel injection offers a wide range of useful revs, and stands out for its dynamic yet effortlessly controllable power delivery. With a maximum power output of over 45 hp, the 350 EXC-F is capable of beating 450s in the E2 class.
oil circuit
The 350 EXC-F engine features two oil pumps. A delivery pump ensures reliable lubrication of the connecting rod, piston, balancer shaft and valve train. It also cools the ignition and lubricates the clutch. A vacuum pump draws oil from the crankcase and uses it to lubricate the gearbox. This creates a slight vacuum in the crankcase, further enhancing engine performance. On the 2015 version, new oil screen seals ensure greater resistance even under extreme conditions, as well as greater durability.
distribution
The crankshaft drives a lateral intermediate shaft, which acts as a balancer shaft and drives the water pump and timing chain for both camshafts. A hydraulic chain tensioner ensures optimum chain tension for extremely precise timing diagrams.
dDS clutch
For the 2015 model year, the DDS (Damped Diaphragm Steel) clutch benefits from a redesigned, lighter, one-piece bell housing, milled in one piece with the timing sprocket from high-strength steel. This process guarantees unrivalled reliability, and the compact, rivet-free design of the clutch housing results in a very slim motor. This design also allows the use of thinner steel plates, which also contribute to the clutch's compact dimensions. The spring washer provides additional hub damping: an invaluable advantage in terms of traction and gearbox wear. Finally, the Brembo hydraulically actuated clutch and spring washer guarantee easy, controllable progressiveness.
the gearbox
The 6-speed gearbox is specially stepped for the characteristics of the 350 cm3 engine and for all types of enduro use. It is characterized by precision and ease of shifting.
balancer shaft
For weight balancing, the 350 EXC-F features a balancer shaft on the right-hand side of the engine, which also drives the water pump and timing chain. This solution contributes significantly to the engine's extremely compact design.
bodywork
Compared to the 350 SX-F, the 350 EXC-F incorporates a heavier connecting rod assembly to increase the masses in motion for smoother power delivery and improved grip. Like all EXC 4-stroke models, it features a plain bearing in the lower connecting rod eye. This design enhances the engine's durability, allowing longer intervals between overhauls.
cylinder head
The DOHC cylinder head features four ultra-light titanium valves (36.3 mm intake, 29.1 mm exhaust) and ultra-small, DLC-coated rocker arms weighing just 8 g, for very high revs up to 12,000 rpm. The camshaft timing diagram is perfectly matched to the low-speed performance specific to the enduro segment.
starter
The engine is equipped as standard with both kick and electric starter ignition. The electric starter is well protected behind the cylinder, and its drive is connected to the ignition rotor via the optimized freewheel.
alternator
The 350 EXC-F engine features a 196-watt alternator with integrated freewheel for the starter. The alternator provides sufficient power for fuel injection, lighting and other consumers. Compared with the 350 SX-F, the oil-cooled rotor has a larger diameter, which increases the moving masses and requires a larger ignition housing.

i'm 54 years old and the proud owner of a 350 EX CF 2013.
After having had several KTMs (7th) . This is my second 350 ... The first in 2012 took the place of a 250 (2007).
The first 350 was really a great compromise between my 250 and the 400 I had before (no more piston stroke) and much easier to handle.
The 350 allowed me to do everything (a Morocco raid, a Brazil raid) without ever having had the slightest problem, even with Brazilian fuel, in faraway places 4000 km without a hitch. And of course the good old Breton Sunday rides.....
With the 2013 ... Recently, I've had very few comments on the differences, apart from the impression that, to date, I've been hyper-performant but a little less FUN...
I'll have a look at my multiplications again, and why not ask for a cartographic correction, if possible adapted to my use...
And if a major flaw for me (1.69 m) difficult even with high heels .and how to lower this bike without making it lose performance .....à hear you on it ...
Seat modification
Modify suspension...
Ou autre ...
Happy man in 2012 d\'avoir the chance to ride this kind of bike .... Rating : 4/5 Respond to MG
