presentation of the 1200 CORSARO 2008

MOTO MORINI 1200 CORSAROmorini's rebirth is a clash of genres and cultures. After so many years, the Italian manufacturer is coming back to life and presenting 2 new models at the Bologna Motor Show. Let's take a look at a roadster with a big heart: the Corsaro. A muscular, aggressive machine whose design is inspired by flagship models from other manufacturers. A double exhaust tailpipe, a mix of MT-01 and 2005 Speed Triple, a very Ducati trellis frame, a tank reminiscent of MV-Agusta Brutale, dual headlights reminiscent of Triumph Speed... No matter. The Corsaro has its own identity, edgy and mean.

Morini 1200 CORSARO 2008 - 1Morini 1200 CORSARO 2008 - 1

Like the inverted fork? Take a look at the exhaust pipes, whose welded sections resemble those on 2-strokes. Does the big twin sound beefy? It's advertised to rip your arms off. Forget the Ducati S4R or theAprilia Tuono. The Morini won't be shy about pushing its compatriots around. The 1180 cm3 twin-cylinder spits out 140 hp and over 12 mkg. A super-square boiler with 4 valves per cylinder and 54 mm throttle bodies. Morini is right on target, as the time is ripe for sporty roadsters. As for the chassis, rigor is the order of the day. The inverted forks are 50 mm in diameter. The swingarm has a large cross-section, and the qualities of a trellis frame need no further demonstration. The Corsaro's prices are in line with the machine's niche: the high-end sports roadster.

After 34,000 kms, no worries, this machine seems to be made from a block.... it's as good as new.
engine, everything has already been said ... a momument! .... and cycle part to match. Distribution network and prices in 2015 not really in the loop....dommage.

What an engine!
Unrivalled in its class, with incomparable driving pleasure and formidable efficiency (except on freeways, of course).
Comfort is decent, but the duo should be avoided, especially for the passenger.
The main problem is that the bike is so hard to ride that it encourages you to get into mischief.
Note the greedy fuel consumption...

This bike is an engine, or rather THE engine: a big 1200 twin-cylinder that stretches your arms with every twist of the throttle. Coupled with a very good chassis, Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes, you've got the tool for any road as soon as it turns a corner
The price is well positioned in relation to competing Ducati Monsters. Only the distribution network is light, and you have to travel a few kilometers to find a dealer. Maintenance is at a "Japanese" rate
To try it is to adopt it; after all, the other engines seem bland.

it's the first motorcycle I've ridden out of the house at noon just to go for a ride!

I can't wait to try it out, but I'm going to buy it anyway
I've already been influenced by the fact that I owned a MotoMorini 500 sport bike from '80 to '86, which wasn't everyone's bike yet, and which gave me some very good times. It had already been engineered by Lambertini like the whole range, in fact, and I feel like I'm going back to see what an old friend did.

good news, it's available in France from next week, so for those who want one, it's now or never, because there won't be enough for everyone. Test drives will be possible depending on the dealer
Mine is reserved for me because I've already previewed the machine and it's indeed a jewel of craftsmanship with no flaws. I'm not worried about the network, as the importer has already proved his worth with other brands.

I had the privilege of testing it and it's certainly one of the best bikes in the world,
exit mv agusta and other benelli, the corsaro has no faults and yet I looked for some, it's a comfortable bike, agile, full down the middle and up. after 10 minutes of testing it's as if I had always ridden it. now we just have to see the reliability over time and a network that holds the road
i've forgotten the most important thing: the engine produces one of the most beautiful melodies on the market

Well, it's coming out in the second quarter of 2006 for a price that should be 12600 euros (let's hope a little less). Dealers are those who sell Kymco and other quads (www.msainternational.com)

I'm really waiting for it to come out so I can try it out and maybe buy it :)

Italian design genius strikes again! They're the only ones who know how to design a bike that looks good AND feels good (even if they've taken their inspiration here from right and left, the result is successful and has its own identity)! What's more, with a chassis that seems to be in tune with the tiniest ognions, an engine that kicks without going all out at 12,000 rpm, and a price in line with the competition, albeit high (cf Buell XB12S, Monster S4R, Aprillia Tuono...), this could be the future replacement for my Voxan Roadster, if it has no descendants... (nb: a truly excellent machine - I invite everyone to try it and support the French brand and its network - and with a quirky look, but without the grace of an Italian machine)
Bonne route à tous...

Discordant opinion! I wonder what's the point of paying fortunes to so-called artists to draw such ugly bikes that look like an insect crossed with a rak's mouth... It's all the more terrible given that I like everything about it! The engine (100% Morini I assure you "ane honim") and above all, finally a bike that's agile AND holds the road at high speed or over bumps. I'm fed up with false progress, like turning on my own, but steering at the first splash. My dream (are you listening M'sieur Morini?) a 9 1/2 look with the engine and road qualities of the 1200..

p... the italians are the kings of design.although many things come from a little all the other manufacturers they manage to make a very happy marriage of genres.cote moulin it is very alleching figures.i do not know if the engine comes from them because it looks pretty much like a 1000 suzuki reworked and crankcases stamped morini.i'll let myself be tempted only the price I fear will be an obstacle, despite the beautiful material. I'm glad that the brand is coming back to life, keeping its character of assertive motorcycles, myself being the owner of a 500 camel. The look could have been more original, even more aggressive, for the 1200. Unfortunately, the price will be an obstacle to its distribution. I'd be curious to know who designed the engine, hoping it's not a Japanese re-sticker. They could have made the 9 1/2 with a more retro look in homage to the old range, so as to have two machines that clearly stand out. But I'm happy anyway. Rating : 5/5
