presentation of the 1200 SCRAMBLER Gulf edition 2019
Morini's Scrambler has only just undergone a transformation, and is now available in a symbolic version. A two-tone color scheme with a pastel hint, sure to appeal to sports enthusiasts with a fondness for the 70s. Light blue and acid orange are the famous colors of the racing cars sponsored by GULF, one of the most famous oil companies during the first 3/4 of the twentieth century.
It's reminiscent of the film "Le Mans", in which Steve McQueen is seen in a Gulf-badged Porsche 917 - Triumph also made this kind of nod with the 865 Bonneville Tag Heuer.
It's enough to arouse curiosity as well as sympathy, before triggering the desire for a more muscular ride with this Morini. The tires are designed to handle rock and mud, while the rest of the machine has a muscular feel. Especially with the big, 116 hp, 1187 cm3 twin engine, which is fiercely Italian. The Scrambler effect is assured by Pirelli Scorpion Rally STRs, spoked wheels, headlamp grille and large handlebars. Sporty features include a trellis frame, serious Brembo brakes with M50 4-piston calipers and 320 mm discs, a large 46 mm upside-down fork and fully adjustable suspension. This Scrambler is not really intended for the track, but rather for the beauty of events. Hence its price positioning, which is more living room than studded.
