presentation of the 850 V7 Stone Corsa 2024
Does V7 feel like competing? Nothing is less certain....
But a desire to don a jogging suit is more certain. Mandello's little classico-roadster sports a sportier face in this CORSA version. Not really a café racer, not at all a tracker, just a little provocative. At Mandello, we like to multiply the versions of the V7.
Since its reintroduction to the market in 2008, the V7 has undergone 3 evolutions and some twenty variations. This Stone Corsa stands out for its small forkhead, (deceptively) single-seater seat and two-tone color scheme. The fork gussets have disappeared, while thebar-end mirrors have been moved to the ends of the handlebars.
Guzzi has also added a touch of "spirit" with a black anodized aluminum fuel filler cap and a personalized plate on the bridge clamp.
It doesn't cost much more than the V7 Stone... since the evolution is merely cosmetic. The engine hasn't been touched up or fitted with racing parts - just as well, since that's not its thing. The twin-cylinder engine produces 65 hp at 6,800 rpm and an interesting 7.5 mkg of torque.
On board this Guzzi, you'll find not only this uniquely shaped and charming engine, but also a cardan shaft transmission, Brembo brakes, a DRL signature in the headlamp, dual-channel ABS and traction control. An optional matching seat cover completes the monoposto look.
It's been a long time since Guzzi had a sportbike in its catalog. This V7 Corsa doesn't change that, but it does add a touch of fun to the range. It's worth noting that the 2020 V7 III Racer took styling and glitz much further. More Clubman than performer, this machine echoes the "Fast Endurance" races the brand organizes every year. Races lasting from 60 to 90 minutes on various Italian circuits, with 850 cc V7s equipped with the GCorse Racing kit. Yet another illustration that performance and competition can take on many dimensions and interpretations.
