presentation of the 800 Brutale RR Ottantesimo 2025

For motorcycles wishing to continue their career on European soil, 2025 is the year of the Euro5+ cut-off. MV-Agusta, on the other hand, sees things differently. The emphasis is on commemorations. In this case, the 80th anniversary of the creation of Meccanica Verghera.

A wink, but no further

For the occasion, a whole series of models are presented in special Ottantesimo series. Including the Brutale 800 RR. MV-Agusta has applied a special paint scheme, as usual in Ago red and silver-grey... far too close to the standard model's color scheme. To really see the difference, you have to look at the details, such as the brand's vintage logo (redesigned for the occasion) and the numbered plate on the bottom of the tank.

This identifies one of the 500 examples in this limited series. A certificate of authenticity will also be provided to attest to the pedigree. A little piece of the automaker's history is thus woven into the Brutale's skin, before its 3-cylinder, 140 hp engine awakens desires.
The switch to E5+ has not affected the technical data of this counter-rotating crankshaft mill. Still 140 horsepower at 12,300 rpm and not far from 9 mkg at 10,250 rpm. Not bad for an 800.

All the more so since the first Brutale 800 RR appeared 10 years ago and was already producing this level of power. Since then, the competition hasn't come up with anything better or equivalent.
The Ottantesimo comes with a new, 50% lighter clutch.

The 800 Brutale RR is also packed with electronics, including 4 riding modes, throttle response, torque, engine braking and engine response settings, 8-stage traction control, dual-mode ABS (Sport or Race) with Cornering sensitivity, 6-axis IMU, anti-stoppie, wheelie control, standing start assistant, cruise control, 3rd-generation shifter, headlight with cornering light and 5.5" TFT color display. You betcha!

Above all, a Brutale is its engine, its single-sided arm, the 3 exhaust pipes bevelled on top of a filthy autoclave pan (as on almost all modern bikes), the unavoidable half-tubular steel frame half-aluminium plates, Marzocchi, Sachs, Brembo and a design that appeals in all circumstances.
It's also a nose-slapping price tag that the Ottantesimo label is sure to blow your nose.
