presentation of the F4 1000 S VELTRO Pista 2006
the name refers to an Italian fighter plane built after the Second World War. The filiation is interesting, as the factory seems to have given wings to this sublimated hypersport.
We thought MV-Agusta had presented the ultimate F4 with the Tamburini version. The Veltro is here to remind us of the exceptionality of the small manufacturer from Varese. Nothing less than a very close copy of the factory F4 that races in the SBK championship. The materials used are breathtaking: The 50 mm-diameter fork and swingarm are made of magnesium alloy, while the F1-derived rear shock absorber is adjustable in all directions withthe rear shock absorber, derived from the F1, adjusts in all directions with 2 rebound speeds, the wheels are forged aluminum, the radial braking is handled by Brembo Racing, the fairing is carbon, and the air intake is variable like on the Tamburini.... and a few eye-popping figures: 159 kg and €74,000, 307 km/h. Crazy! Only 23 examples will be produced, and only on order. A "wiser" version is also planned: the Strada. Slightly less expensive (€57,300) and more widely available (99 units), this road rocket carries some 11 kilos more.
