presentation of the GSX-R 1000 25eme anniversaire 2010
the GSX-R is not really a motorcycle like the others. At the mention of its name, an immediate reaction is felt by any biker: a mixture of excitement, the smell of rubber, a slider that rubs and drool on the lips. And it's been going on for 25 years. To celebrate, Suzuki is releasing a special, limited edition of the Gex 1000.
less flashy, the chosen color may not satisfy purists, who would have preferred the mythical white-blue that is inseparable from Hammamatsu sports bikes. Gone are the days of jogging suits, and now it's time to get dressed up. The color is called Metallic Mat Titanium Silver and Pearl Mirage White color, a blend of pearly white and titanium bronze. On the sides, a large R in gold letters tinted in relief; in the rearview mirror, a quarter-century of performance. It's an opportunity to ennoble oneself a little and take on board some equipment. This big Gex gets carbon parts (front and rear mudguards, clutch cover and alternator cover), a specicific smoke bubble, Yoshimura Evo 4 pots engraved with the 25th Anniversary, a golden R key and a numbered plate on the fork crown. This commemoration can even be found on the laser-engraved rim mesh.
the GSX-R 1000 25th Anniversary Edition will be produced in 1,000 units worldwide - 300 are available for France... Inflation is 15,999 euros, including 185 hp engine and legends.
