suzuki has sold a million GSX-Rs. Respect! In their 27-year career, these sporty models have left their mark on hearts, bodies and circuits. The brand celebrates the event with this limited edition - 1 million - GSX-R 1000. Under the plastics, the bike is technically identical to the production model. So it's not here that we'll find ABS, Traction Control or adaptive suspension. This Gex will have to make do with S-DMS for electronic assistance.

The major asset of this limited edition is its commemorative spirit. First of all, there's that special number: 1985. As you may have guessed, that's the date on which the very first GSX-R went on sale. It's also the number of models in this series. A small plaque on the fork crown is there to remind you. Secondly, the styling is inspired by the saga's initiatory model. Finally, a number of elements stand out: the black Brembo radial brake calipers, the gold Showa BPF forks, the white rims (specific to Hamamatsu sports bikes), and the red-painted forced-air intake vents. At one time, this system made such an impact on the community that the 750 GSX-Rs were commonly referred to as SRAD, which was the abbreviation of the technology used (Suzuki Ram Air Direct).

Only 199 of the "one million" GSX-R 1000s will be sold in France. These will have the privilege of being fitted with a Yoshimura R77J titanium exhaust system.
