A British custom is not quite like any other. It doesn't have the Machiavellian character of an American machine or the propriety of a Japanese production. It's a smarter presence, with the fatness of English boxing and a desire for precedence. Even in this Stealth edition, the sense of value wants to stand out.
This is the name of the special 2024 collection within the Triumph range: STEALTH - which can be translated as discreet or stealthy. Stealthy Speedmaster? Yes, it is! From the outset, this motorcycle is imposing. This two-seater extrapolation of the Bobber is not lacking in charm. It is currently venturing towards a fleeting boldness with its two-tone tank.
But not just any two-tone. Or rather, not in the usual way. On the Stealth models, it's all about gradation, from black to a specific color. The Speedmaster seems to be sipping from a tall glass of Bordeaux, with gravity slowly pushing the tannin forward. Classy, profound; presumptuous perhaps.
Hand-painted in several rigorous stages, the tank boasts an almost unique style, varying in intensity and contrast according to the light. Why almost? Because the 1200 Speed Twin Stealth cousin receives the same Sapphire Black / Silver Red treatment.
As with the "Gold Line" and "Chrome" models, the Triumph "Stealth" models will only be available for one year. Shaded paint is billed at 800 euros. A hefty price to add to an already hefty bill.
