presentation of the 865 SPEEDMASTER 2016
black, black and more black. The Speedmaster treated itself to a few whiffs of it in 2014. What elements take on this color? Headlight cladding and bezels, handlebars, rims, foot controls, amorto springs, airbox cover, etc., etc.... New mufflers take care of the twin's vocals, while its cooling fins are machined.
on the meaner side, the 865 Speedmaster could really go for some 883 Iron. Triumph's little custom bike received some fine-tuning in 2011, and as a result has become darker, almost surly, yet more accessible. The forks have been stripped of their overcladding and the forks blackened, the front rim has been enlarged from 18 to 19 inches, the rear mudguard has been cut straight with a scythe, and technically, the wheelbase has been shortened by 55 mm, which should make the custom easier to engage. While the look is more aggressive, life on board is the opposite. With a lower seat height (690 mm) and wider handlebars, the riding position is more comfortable. Like its cousins, the America and Bonneville, this machine stands out from traditional custom bikes with its parallel 865 cm3 twin set at 270°. Its 61 horsepower enable it to cruising along boulevards in complete peace of mind. If you're looking for something bigger, Triumph's 1700 Thunderbird Storm is twice as big and twice as expensive.

Power output is decent, with the breaker at around 160km/h or a little over max. I took the opportunity to make a lot of modifications to the bike (rear suspension, mufflers, engine protection, heated grips, LED indicators, sissy bar, tray footrest... there's plenty of fun to be had! To be seen in daily use. Rating : 5/5 Respond to nicolaswoody80
i went to Triumph to see the Speedmaster, I still like it, I'm continuing my licence, at 50 it's not as fast as at 20, and at my dealer's I saw the Thunderbird 1700, I like it too, maybe it'll be more comfortable for two-up riding, the weight makes me forget I'm a young licence holder, I'm waiting to get it to try both. Are weight and beginners compatible? Rating : 3/5 Respond to philmo
This triumph speedmaster tempts me, I would like to have if possible qq comments and opinion on the motorcycle; if machine adapted to my ag... and experience. All in all
thanks in advance Rating : 5/5 Respond to philmo
Speed is great, but the torque is pure happiness. It's a nice change from the Daytona, but every day I'm not 20 but 65, when I say it's made for everyone
My joy is both. Lucky old man that I am
See you later and I hope I've removed any doubts you may have had about whether you were right to think about this bike at 50
