Triumph sees much more than a motorcycle in its Bonneville. It's part of its history, its identity, its claims; as well as a perfect support for all kinds of partnerships and special series. It can even be both, as in the case of this Belstaff limited edition.

The brand made a name for itself almost a century ago by specializing in protective motorcycle clothing. Che Guevara and Steeve McQueen (to name but a few) contributed to the brand's enduring reputation. More recently, Belstaff has turned to fashion.
Triumph teamed up with Belstaff to design this Bonnie in sophisticated chrome, black and gold.

The result is superb. Beautiful gilding on the rims, tank, seat backrest, front mudguard and Belstaff phoenix logo on the side covers. The sobriety resonates as elegantly as the finesse of the decoration. Aristocratic perhaps; classy surely.

This Bonneville also celebrates, a little early, the fiftieth anniversary of its history. It first appeared in 1959, and was produced until the 80's. A long hiatus kept it away from the market for many years, before its return in 2001 with 800 cm3. The Belstaff version is built on theevolution ofthis renaissance, with an 865 cm3 engine producing 67 horsepower.

This special edition of only 50 was sold for £8,999, or approximately 11,250 euros at the time. In parallel with this motorcycle, Belstaff created a jacket of the same type: fashionable, biker-like and also in limited numbers.
At the same time, Triumph unveiled a unique edition associated with actor Ewan McGregor. More flashy and absolutely unavailable, either in dealerships or any other retail outlet. It was auctioned off in aid of Unicef.
