The 2011 edition continues in the same vein as 2010 , with updated decals and riders. 4 models are on sale, decorated like the machines competing in the world championship. As last year, each model will be unique, bearing the deco of a specific rider. So, under the racing blue line: a Lorenzo Replica and a Spies Replica, and under the Tech 3 crest: a Crutchlow Replica and an Edwards Replica. That's quite a line-up of champions, and they're the ones who'll be handing over the keys to their bikes to the lucky buyers. Just imagine: on Saturday, May 14, on the eve of the GP, one of the world's best riders will come up to you and hand over a one-off R1 in the colors of the 800 he's riding.
this year, Replica models are sold at the same price as the standard R1, i.e. 15,999 euros. The bike will not only be special in terms of decoration, but will also come with a number of extras. The package includes a pair of "YEC" racing levers, a Yamaha Racing T-shirt and cap, and a good cause: Yamaha France will donate €1,000 per R1 replica MotoGP sold to the French Red Cross in support of the victims of the earthquake in Japan.
