presentation of the YZ 250 F 2014
The YZ 250 F 2014 model is an all-new fuel-injected machine ready to take on the most demanding cross-country terrain.
after several years of development, the rear-tilted single-cylinder with front intake has finally arrived. Its new sinuous "snake" exhaust system bypasses the cylinder. The all-new, lightened chassis accommodates a raucous-sounding engine developed for Grand Prix racing. The re-centering of masses improves riding sensations on all types of terrain. An accomplished machine.
the 2014 YZ 250 F is certainly the easiest, best-handling and most exciting 250 cm3 cross-country machine to come off the Iwata assembly line.
new front-injection engine
using front injection for the first time, the YZ 250 F gains in power, responsiveness and racy sound. The engine is based on the same technology as the YZ 450 F. Ignition mapping is fully configurable, while engine power is increased mainly by the use of a snake-type exhaust, a treated crankshaft and a double-ring piston.
tilted back and ahead of its time
the front intake ensures high efficiency, and the angle at which the engine tilts backwards is optimally calculated in relation to the frame, engine size and weight balance. The "MX Power Tuner" (available as an option) lets you exploit the full potential of the electronic fuel injection unit, customizing settings to suit rider preferences and terrain conditions.
weight centralization and weight savings
the exhaust path adopted in 2014 has optimized the shape of the silencer and reduced its size. The rear loop has been shortened, allowing the machine's masses to be re-centered. The position of the fuel tank (now 7.5 l) has been modified to slim the bike and facilitate access to the air filter.
lighter chassis with optimized rigidity
particularly incisive when cornering, the YZ 250 F now benefits from a reworked double-beam frame. Hydroformed, it is made from ten pieces of aluminum, forged, cast or extruded. Conferring precision and control, the frame achieves unprecedented levels of rigidity, balance and shock absorption for ultimate sensations and pleasure.
smoother gearshifts
redesigned gearbox components have made gear shifting smoother and safer, for an even better feel. This reduces loss of traction during gear changes.
dynamic new styling
the angular shapes of the YZ 250 F make it a bike forged for 2014 and beyond. YZ bikes are designed for one purpose: competition. Redesigned plastics, airboxes and rear mudguards are enhanced by mass-tinted deco for improved durability. This technique appears for the first time on a Yamaha motorcycle.

I have a problem with my 2017 YZF 250 motorcycle. It's been two times that I ride without problem a good part of the day and it dies when I fall and impossible to restart it.
I changed the spark plug, it was white and it did not change anything....
thank you Rating : 5/5 Respond to Goderre
for the rest it's expensive and not necessarily useful a line if you want to increase performance a little and the look counts in the 700â'¬ the line see more if you take in titanium and carbon end,
ignition in the 650â'¬ range etc etc ... Rating : 5/5 Participate in the conversation
