presentation of the 700 Ténéré Rally 2019
The new 700 Ténéré is designed for light adventure, planned or unplanned, just like the XTZ 660. For trail-GT, Yam stocks the 1200. For light travel around roads and dust, the Explorer pack increases the scope of action. Sports enthusiasts will be more interested in the Rallye pack, for a more muscular ride.
The yelping twin knows how to be playful while remaining discreet in terms of sound - though we'd appreciate it if it were less so when the throttle is seriously teased. With its Rallye extension, the trail is equipped with a stainless steel Akrapovic exhaust system, more likely to give the sound of the engine a more powerful presence.
The additional equipment is designed to protect some of the most stressed parts. A protective grille is fitted to the radiator. A pair of components, an openwork upper casing and a chain guide, take care of the final drive links.
On the rider's side, the seat is raised and flat along its entire length, giving the rider an attitude more suited to off-road riding. This is reflected in the seat height, which rises to 920 mm, almost like an enduro. A tank protector helps to protect the rider from scratches.
The manufacturer is also thinking of those who want to give their bike a little more style. Hence the tapered LED turn signals and minimalist plate holder.
The Rallye pack adds 1,699 euros to the final bill. Compared to the cocktail of parts taken separately, the customer benefit is roughly summed up in the bonus indicators.
Let's summarize its contents:
- Rally saddle
- Akrapovic exhaust
- Chain guide
- Chain guard
- Radiator guard
- License plate holder
- LED turn signals
- Tank pad
