presentation of the CBF 600 N 2005

the CBF 600 is available in 2 versions: S for adventurous touring, and the N version, which slots right in between the CB 500 and 600 Hornet. With this machine, Honda will be able to reach a very wide audience - especially as anti-pollution standards have caused a number of economical machines to disappear from manufacturers' catalogs. As a result, the CBF 600 will offer more watts than its rookie cousin, the CB 500, without the Hornet 's wild, spirited side, which may repel those who don't share this temperament.

Honda CBF 600 N 2005 - 1Honda CBF 600 N 2005 - 1

the CBF's friendly looks are based on the Hornet 's engine, but with the engine degloved. The chassis is a mono-backbone design, a similarity found on the Hornet 600 and 900, but also on the CB 500 and CBF 600 S. In fact, there are quite a few parts in common between these models - let's hope that this will also be reflected in the wallet. As this is the naked version of the latter, we find the same practical aspects: adjustable saddle and handlebar mounts, all kinds of options, including ABS, unheard of at this level of the range. Even with less power, the CBF shouldn't be too bad to ride. The transmission has been shortened compared to the Hornet, and the mapping is supposed to favor mid-range revs... and let's not forget that this is the block used on theold 600 CBR - it's a proven performer. Here's a nice roadster, but above all a formidable competitor for the 600 Bandit.

Honda cbf n 2007 un bonheur !
French Nadou Model 2007
First motorcycle purchased a short time ago in default of being able to acquire the beautiful hornet of the early 2000s. A joy! I finally feel like I'm riding a real motorcycle (mt07 at the motorcycle school). It's a real treat, with a smoothness that's mind-blowing! And I can't get enough of the engine's purr (even with 34hp). I can't recommend it enough! Rating : 5/5

For me, this bike is a sunrise in the night of current production. With the current trend towards electronized machines, with very aggressive lines and all manner of embellishments, this CBF comes at just the right time. For a few years at least, it revived the cult of simple, rudimentary motorcycles, with sober, rounded lines and a generous size, in the tradition of the roadsters of the late twentieth century. Definitely my favorite roadster, along with the Bandit phase 1. Rating : 5/5

Jauge de température d'huile qui monte au feu rouge
Hi there,

I just bought a cbf 600 2004 27000km.
It's my first bike and I really have no experience with it
I rode it today for the first time and I'm very satisfied. However, I did notice one thing that strikes me as odd. When I'm at a red light, I get the impression that the oil temperature gauge is rising too high, bordering on red
Does anyone know if this is normal?

Thanks for your comments

Hi
Yes, it's normal for the gauge to go up at a red light, the fan then triggers and it goes down... Then it goes back up
C\'est connu, mais ça ne touche pas la zone rouge ;)
Good bike, my 34hp is great

Hi! Very good choice. I bought one (CBF 600 N ABS Bi-ton from 2006) in 2008, at 17000 km. It now has 51,000 km without the slightest problem. Oil change every 6000km (once a year) and that's it. Driving cool, average fuel consumption 4.8 to 5.2/100 (duo and mountain). Changing the battery is easy. It's under the rider seat on the right-hand side, just pull the cover, no screws. It's a bit hard to work with, but can be done with a little patience. Price: 40â'¬ on the net. By the way, mine will be for sale soon, at a small price.

A great bike, it's my first and I love it. I tried a lot of bikes before deciding. An easy, simple bike, it pushes just enough, it winds, it also lets you attack, even if I don't have the level to go to the limits yet (I haven't reached the fear band yet). Bought a week ago with just a 60000 chain kit to do, I know it'll be with me for a while. :D Rating : 5/5

Hello!
Turn on the ignition, you need to position yourself on the hour display (right-hand button). Press the 2 black buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds.
as soon as it flashes, the left button sets the hours and the right button sets the minutes.
As soon as the setting is complete, switch off the ignition, wait a moment and then switch it on again

I've had one for 2 years now, and it's been a faithful mount par excellence. She knows how to do everything from the city to the country. Freeways are not its playground. To make 6.3 l/100km, you have to pull it like a wild man or practice double declutching. On a leisurely stroll, count 5l and 420km of range (21-liter fuel tank :-).
Inexpensive maintenance ... my mountain bike is more expensive!
Two-up riding possible without disgusting the wife or son. No surprises when downshifting ... well, what more can I say .... if I change it's for the same one with more torque .... for a smoother ride .... a CB 1100 ? ;-) .... I'm tempted. But if you want to start out, come back or enjoy it 100% without the frills ... it's ideal. Thank you Mr. Honda.

Mine dates back to 2005 and is approaching 24,000 kms
Zero problems, nothing nada, the tires aren't dead (and that's not for lack of fuss) and the chain kit still has many months ahead of it

Many criticize its lack of power and character, but I see the advantages: The engine is linear, perfect for dosing acceleration just right - no surprises, we're in better control. Lack of power? well, it's going to take some time to use the mill to 100% of its capacity

Braking with ABS is imperial and roadholding very good
What's more, the rear seat is very comfortable for a duo
If you want a motorcycle that's easy to handle and inexpensive, go for it

P.S. I met a courier who rode a CBF 600 and he told me that his chain kit had lasted 98,000 km No comment.

to answer everyone's question, it's a superb bike. i bought it used 2 months ago and i'm very happy with it. it's torquey, supple and a pleasure to ride from time to time. and i think its look is really nice, reminiscent of the bikes of my youth (900 bol d'or and other cb750s) and yes, i'm almost 40... and i've started riding again after 15 years or so on the sidelines
V à tous et bonne route.

Hi everyone and thank you for your comments, indeed it reassures me because I bought it (I don't have it yet) and I can't wait to ride it. Frankly, I've tried a Bandit, an ER6 and then the CBF, and I much prefer this bike to the Susuki. Better riding position, more fun for my taste, and more beautiful, not to mention all the honda advantages! Even if the engine is linear, I really like the way it revs up even at low revs...(still compared to the bandit) that's what counts a lot: versatility. On the other hand, if I'd had the chance, I'd have bought the ER6... too bad there weren't any crazy promotions like with Honda, but otherwise the ER6 is beautiful, it's light, and it really kicks ass! But I don't think I'll regret my choice of CBF N, especially since it's 5000 euros in Toulon... the price of a new varadero at 500 euros... I didn't hesitate for long!!!. See you and maybe on the road... -)) Rating : 5/5

Hello everyone!

My name is Claire. I've had my license since March 2005. I started with a 500GSE, which I kept for 8 months.
I wanted to change my bike, because the GSE regularly broke down because of its advanced age (it was from 1989, I was able to learn a minimum of mechanics thanks to it), and I came across a site of a YAMAHA dealer in Paris (I'm from greboble), who was selling a 600 CBF N
I fell in love with it, I was going up a size, the color suited me, and I didn't make a fuss
i left with it, I had the opportunity to test it on the track, and I don't regret my crush in the least..

Hi everyone!
I was hesitating between the 600CBFn Biton (too classy this series) and the brand new kawa ER6
Honestly, I bought the kawa because they took my bike back better! And in terms of performance, there's no photo, for 500€ less than the honda the kawa pulls much better, I hope in the long run I won't have any regrets!

Hi there,
I've had a CBF 600 N for a few months now and I don't regret my choice. It's a versatile, economical, torquey bike (for a 600) at low and medium revs, i.e. for everyday use. After 7,000 revs, the mill doesn't sound like a robot mixer! (even if the kick in the ... of the 600 Hornet is gone (too bad!!!). For an entry-level bike, it's a bargain. For those who want more thrills, go for a speed triple (I rode one for 6 months) or even a sportbike, but then the costs go up. But if, like me, you ride every day (on the sunny roads of Reunion Island) and don't want to break the bank while still enjoying yourself, this is the right choice. However, there are 2 drawbacks: - a seat that's not "top" and a really hard shock absorber (a fault of all 600 roadsters anyway)

Hi everyone!
I just bought the naked version
It's a very good bike, because of its versatility. I use it every day (even in the snow at the moment), and there's no doubt that it's a Honda. Smooth enough in town, it's still got a good mill for out-of-town fun. In my opinion, the original tires are a bit tight on wet roads, but the bike's handling is very reassuring. The only thing that bothers me is the lack of suspension adjustment, because with my bird's weight, the whole thing is pretty firm (especially up front). Ciao, friends, and keep your speed up, but to the right!

Hi Julien, I wasn't able to reply before because I've been having trouble with the internet these days: I'll answer you with this... I have a buddy with a 1998 900 CBR: top speed: just 250, my CBF: 210 (yesterday). I don't think you'll be ridiculed, as I can keep up with him: the only thing is, he's barely faster than me in the revs and in speed, but in the corners, although the critics say the CBF isn't agile, I don't know many people who put their cuddly feet down in the middle of a roll, so as far as agility is concerned, they've got it wrong. I've already put 3800 miles on it and it's still a joy to ride. See ya!!! Rating : 5/5

Thanks, but I went to try out a 600CBF at my HONDA dealer and I'm delighted with the product! It's a great bike for young people who have just got their licence or for people who aren't necessarily looking for a racing bike and who just want to enjoy themselves from time to time by making a good dumpling.it's not, as some newspapers have written, a bike with an "electric" engine; it works great!!..(it has better performance than a Porsche 911 turbo!!!!!!!)So thank you very much!!!@+ Rating : 5/5

I'd like to have an objective opinion on this bike and tell me if it doesn't tire quickly? I'm 25 years old, but I'm not looking for a bike to race, but if it's possible to hit a few good pellets, I'm not against it. It's a purchase to go for a ride on sunny Sundays with my wife and do a little crazy with biker buddies who own 600 Hornets and other CBRs. Tell me if I'd be ridiculous or not? I don't know if they make it in a bridled version because I'm 25, so I'm not limited to 34 hp. I really recommend it for a young driver's license holder, as it's super easy to handle. At worst, if they don't make it in 34 hp, you can take the 500 CBF, apart from the engine, it's the same, and it seems to me that you can take it in 34 hp. I've had it since 5:00 p.m. yesterday evening, and I have to say that compared with what I experienced on a school bike (500 GS), it's a toy! It handles like a dream, it's got a good kick and an excellent pick-up even at 3,000 rpm! I must say, it's a good investment! Young riders, I have only one word to say to you: GAS! Rating : 5/5
Honda makes something new out of something old! and the prices don't even change! If you're a rider in your fifties looking for a comfortable bike that's also easy to handle in the city, well, it's not easy on the market. With this "new" Honda 600, I can say that the damping is too firm and the adjustment options don't do much to change the situation! All in all, the bike is heavy to handle, especially when compared to the Hornet, which is so easy to ride. Why not take a Hornet as is and deflate it, which Honda didn't even manage to do?
