presentation of the KX 250 2025
As the special editions of 2024 have shown us, for 50 years Kawa KXs have struggled to dominate the field and push riders to the top of the podium.
the next step in this progression is the new KX 250 2025, which benefits from improvements in a number of key areas for enhanced on-track performance, while equipping the Kawasaki Racing Team for its debut in the MX2 2025 championship.
In terms of radical feature enhancements, the engine's low-end power feel and corner-exit power control are both improved for the 2025 model year thanks to symmetrical intake and exhaust alignment and optimized air intake.
Already renowned as a nimble, maneuverable machine, the KX 250 (and its KX 250 X variant) is now even more agile thanks to improvements to the frame and suspension, many of which are similar to those of its older sister, the KX 450, received for the 2024 model year. These improvements, combined with new features such as ODI Lock-On grips and new, smoother plastics. The new plastics allow the rider to move around the bike more easily, which should translate into faster lap times.
Riders will be delighted with the new technological features, including power modes and Kawasaki traction control, which can be easily selected from a new commodo located on the left handlebar. In addition, smartphone connectivity allows riders to connect to their machine to adjust engine mapping using Kawasaki's unique Rideology app, specially designed for the KX.

The symmetrical alignment of intake and exhaust provides higher revs and smoother low-end torque. The redesigned intake allows the air-fuel mixture to enter the cylinder more easily, while the centrally-positioned exhaust outlet is aligned with the intake for improved airflow efficiency, helping to boost performance. The optimized air intake also contributes to low-speed performance, while the balancer shaft contributes to smoother power distribution and reduced vibration.
the airbox has even been completely redesigned to maximize the potential of the KX 250's dual injectors and adapt to the new intake. In addition to the significant increase in low-end torque and smooth power delivery, throttle response is more linear.
when it comes to shifting gears, the hydraulic clutch offers a more direct feel and lighter lever action, while reducing backlash when the clutch heats up under heavy use. The balance shaft contributes to engine smoothness and vibration reduction, improving power control, especially when exiting corners at low speeds.

The ø48 mm Showa inverted fork with coil springs and the new Uni Trak rear suspension offer competition-ready suspension performance, while the Ergo-fit choice of four handlebar positions and two footrest positions allows riders to adapt their riding position to their size and ergonomic preferences.
the KX 250 X sibling benefits from the same improvements for the 2025 model year. In addition, specific suspension settings, combined with a 21"/18" wheel combination fitted with enduro tires, and practical standard equipment such as the side stand, make the new KX 250 X even more attractive to competitors.
With this new KX 250, Kawasaki is aiming to raise the bar to a higher category, enabling both young and experienced riders to further their ambitions.
