presentation of the ER-6f 650 2012
as usual, the evolution of the ER-6n roadster continues with an update of its ER-6f sibling. For 2012, the medium-displacement roadster sports a sexy new fairing, with big, lively eyes and Edge Design fairing sides. The previous version was strongly inspired by the ZX-6R; "Phase 3" retains this sporty look while softening the lines. There's even a nod to the new ZZR 1400: a comma carved into the top of the fairing.
building on the naked version, the ER-6f perpetuates this incentive to travel with a whole series of extras that go hand in hand with its evolution. To affirm its status as a tourer, it now features an adjustable windscreen. Its new dashboard, with its rather drab styling, displays revs with a good old-fashioned needle; everything else is done digitally, with a new display for remaining range, instantaneous or average fuel consumption, and a warning light for the economic world.
The Kawa 650 F is equipped with an all-new chassis: both frame and swingarm are made of a double-tube steel structure. Combined with the re-configured, more torquey and more playful engine, the machine promises to be even more fun to ride down avenues and between bends. But it's also more comfortable, with a new two-tier seat that's more accommodating to your posterior and more accommodating to your feet when you stop.
Braking remains faithful to its petal discs pinched by 2-piston calipers; the optional ABS brake is now lighter and more compact.

I've been riding pretty well, 30,000 km on the odometer in less than 10 months, and I've never had any problems.
My maintenance is done by the Kawasaki dealer where I bought it, so this is already my 6th service.
replacement of Dunlop tires after 18,000 km and replacement of the chain kit for the first time. I think that 30,000 km is reasonable, especially as I ride in all weathers and on all kinds of roads, even farm tracks that are quite muddy or dusty.
No worries, not a single breakdown, the Kawette's reliability is excellent.
