presentation of the KX 450 2020
last year, Kawa's big cross-country machine underwent a serious optimization phase. A KX 450 is all about one thing: grabbing the podium, and above all, first place. With over 40 years of KX heritage, Kawasaki now offers an unrivalled expert-class machine with a more powerful engine mounted in the narrowest chassis to date. On top of this, the machine is packed with features to help riders reach the podium in style.
with its factory components and settings, including the adoption of a latch-valve control system, the KX 450's engine is now even more powerful, with an extra 3.4 hp to keep riders at the front of the pack. Small mistakes no longer matter, as the electric starter will enable you to make your way quickly to the front of the pack and escape in complete safety, while Launch Control will enable you to get off to a flying start.
the machine features a hydraulic clutch for a smoother, more direct feel. For those who want to enhance their riding experience, the KX 450 comes as standard with a selection of DFI plugs for easy engine mapping changes, while the KX FI injection calibration kit allows riders to go into greater detail and fully customize engine mapping. To further enhance performance, this KX is stripped of all unnecessary materials, and features an improved lightweight aluminum perimeter frame.
featuring a powerful engine and a narrow chassis, this bike boasts excellent driveability, allowing full power to flow through. The revised wheel axle and rear suspension design ensure perfect geometry from the starting grid to the chequered flag.
what's more, a ø 49 mm Showa inverted fork offers smooth operation and progressive damping in all situations, while the more powerful brakes guarantee great stopping power with a 250 mm rear disc and an oversized 270 mm front disc. The master cylinder allows for better metering of attack while enhancing overall braking performance.
the trim not only makes the bike more compact, but also facilitates the rider's movements. The riding position can be adapted to personal preferences, thanks to adjustable handlebar and footrest positions that are both simple and effective.
The KX 450 is aiming for victory this season more than ever, with its powerful engine, narrowest chassis to date and a host of innovative features.
