presentation of the Ninja 1000 ZX-10R KRT WSBK Limited Edition 2020
Kawasaki is taking small steps towards creating machines that are even more track-oriented than current hyperports. The ZX-10R KRT takes on a whole series of elements to bring it more resolutely to the track, and becomes the limited-edition KRT WSBK. A mix between the standard Ninja and the surgical tools of the R1 GYTR and GSX-R Ryuyo.
The idea is not to make it a highly specialized tool, but rather a sports bike already ready to rumble the vibrators, while retaining the fittings necessary for road use. The approach is steroidal, as the brand's World Superbike titles and its results at the Suzuka 8 Hours are distilled in the background.
The measure remains cautious. Look at the fairing, with its shades of green and ebony dotted with gold lettering and suggestive graphics. this is the KRT Kawasaki Racing Team deco, which has not been altered in any way for this occasion. Just a few more sponsor stickers and equivocal number plates. And yet, there's something sticking out of the fairing...
Winglets ! This ZX-10R has extra aerodynamic support. A sign of things to come in hypersport? A special modification like the Ducati Panigale V4R compared to the first Panigale V4s?
Let's not get carried away. These deflectors come from Puig, as does the high bubble. The ZX-10R KRT WSBK will be ready for its riding sessions with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tires, GB Racing casing protectors, Valter Moto levers, oil cap and frame protectors, Renthals grips, self-adhesive, non-slip Stompgrip plates around the fuel tank to hold it securely with the thighs, and an Akrapovic exhaust system to give it a breath of fresh air. No engine modifications or suspension kit are planned. Kawa has no plans to turn it into a racing beast. This will limit price inflation.

So, there won't be many to choose from. Purchases will be made exclusively online, at - https://kawasakiracingteamworldsbk.com/ninjazx10r-krt/ - You could think of this machine as a ZX-10R Performance +, except that it comes with a bonus; rather nice for fans of the team. Purchasers will have their bikes tuned by KRT technicians, have access to the official box and ride with Rea and Lowes during one of the 2021 winter tests.
These ZX-10Rs will go on sale from June 15 to July 15, 2020. Apparently only for the Spanish market.
