from 2008 to 2026From 250 to 500, the "little" Ninja has grown.
over time, entry-level motorcycles in the 500 and 600 cm3 range gradually slipped into higher displacement ranges, leaving room for "small medium" displacement bikes. Manufacturers then repatriated some of their production from Asian markets to enrich the European market with new small models.
hence the introduction of the Kawasaki 250 Ninja. Very timid in its early days, the little sports bike (or sport-GT, depending on your point of view) tried to make a place for itself until it evolved into a 300 cm3 model. The motorcycle looks more serious, more dignified, with an almost confounding Ninja 650 silhouette.
but it's with the 400 version that the Ninja really begins to stand out. Its category is far from the most popular on the market, but it's clear that some manufacturers really want to boost this sector.
in 2024, it moves up to a small 500 cm3 and a higher valuation. With the CBR 500 and other products, the 500 category is back in the spotlight after a 20-year absence - the circle is complete.
