from 2003 to 2026KTM's touring range exudes adventure
a major specialist in off-road machines, KTM made a big impression when it entered the large trail segment in 2003. Strongly inspired by rally experience, the 950 LC8 Adventure inaugurates a new engine for the Austrian manufacturer. The 948 cm3 twin produces 98 hp, and the machine impresses right from the start with its off-road capabilities.
2006 saw an increase in engine displacement, with the aim of offering power and availability earlier in the rev range.
spectacular evolution in 2013 with the engine borrowed from theRC8-R hypersport. Displacement climbs to 1195 cm3 for an output of 150 hp. KTM also enters the hyper-trail category - initiated by the Ducati 1200 Multistrada. The design became more flexible, electronics began to take hold (traction control, several riding modes, semi-active suspension, etc.) and the adventurer opened up to a wider public.
from then on, KTM will be expanding the scope of its Super Adventure, which will be upgraded to a 1290 in 2017 and will be enriched with more and more electronic equipment. Inflation and the positioning of this maxi-trail point it in the direction of premium and a hunt for power to counter the Multistrada and BMW GS / XR.
By 2025, the engine had grown to 1350 cm3 and 173 hp. The Super Adventure began to dream more of racing than of exploring.
