presentation of the Superveloce 1000 Oro 2025
The wait is long, like the promises of a capricious countess. She announced herself for 2023... The diva will arrive in 2024. But what an arrival! It's a breath of fire in the neo-retro category. Combining strength, audacity, luxury and high standards, MV-Agusta has created a stunning Superveloce 1000 Oro. Threatening and temporal, refined and violent, noble and bitchy, this sporty machine is sure to arouse all the senses.
It's been a long time since the brand from Varese mastered envy. The master stroke of design of the first Superveloce finds a wilder expression here. The styling takes up the theme of the 800, but with more pronounced effects, a less subtle, less svelte, more reinforced presence. This meaner look is driven by the addition of winglets, denser cladding, more massive air ducts, a spaceship-like rear hull and retina-piercing exhausts.
It 's a thing of beauty, albeit less delicate than the average Superveloce. As for the engine, MV has taken the best it has: the 1000 Brutale's block. Its 4-cylinder is one of the strongest yet. Spitting out 208 hp at 13,000 rpm, it's more powerful than a ZX-10R or R1 mill. Torque is muscular, at 11.9 mkg, but you have to go for it high up the rev range, at 11,000 rpm. If you're itching to add a few more horsepower, the race kit allows you to crank up the watts to 212 hp.
The chassis is also largely taken from the Brutale roadster, with a few adaptations. First, a different weight distribution. Secondly, magnificent new forged aluminum wheels. The mix of star-shaped arms and spokes lends a surreal cachet. As for the main frame, the roadster's components are so robust that they can be used as is. With the unmistakable house signature for the frame: aluminum side plates holding a tubular steel trellis. The superb aluminum single-sided swingarm is in proud concert, with the added bonus of being mounted on an adjustable pivot. A set of pins allows the height to be adjusted by + or - 4 mm.
As for suspension, the 1000 Superveloce relies solely on top-of-the-range technology. The 43 mm inverted fork and TTX shock absorber come from Öhlins and are mainly managed by Smart EC 2.0 electronics. This adjusts compression and rebound; only preload is set manually. Between the reservoir and fork crown is another Öhlins shock absorber, for steering.

As you can see, this model is following the dictates of the spoiler trend. But.... MV-Agusta doesn't see it that way. Symbolically, the company's communication reminds us that the 1972 MV 500 inaugurated this type of aerodynamic wing in Grand Prix racing. More concretely, work has focused as much on form as function. The MV aims to be beautiful right down to the fins, while at the same time offering more than 39 kilos of front downforce at 320 km/h, thanks to all the aerodynamic work.
The 320 mm discs are covered with carbon flanges, reminiscent of the drum brakes of a bygone era. A low opening channels airflow to cool the Brembo calipers. Beautifully crafted as they should be, these are radial-mount Stylema 4-piston monobloc calipers. Tires are in tune, with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP-V4s developed specifically for the Superveloce 1000.
The Superveloce 1000 is introduced in an Oro version. A saga perpetuated since the F4 750, where some new family members begin with the exception. Oro is synonymous with gold-plated parts (plates, swingarm, wheels), limited series, certificate of authenticity, complete race kit, full carbon bodywork (except for the tank, but more than forty parts are made of this material) and a strangling price. The Italian brand is teeming with beautiful parts; but there was a time when the Oro carried magnesium components for the wheels, frame and swingarm.
The purchaser of this sublime machine will also receive a beautiful box containing a special cover, a leather and alcantara passenger seat, carbon passenger footrests and heel guards, nanocellulose-machined brake and clutch levers and swingarm height adjustment plates.

Strong in horsepower and style, this bike is just as strong in electronics. Its 5.5-inch TFT color screen lets you configure everything, and communicate with a smartphone to make your own settings, also via the MV Ride app. The app can also be used to manage navigation, route recording, internal data transfer and the Mobisat geolocation system.
For those who dare to ride at night, the controls are backlit. Electronics and riding enthusiasts will appreciate the ECU engine mapping, Up&Down shifter operation and cornering ABS specific to the 1000 Superveloce. As well as 8-level traction and wheeling control, inertial unit sensitivity, 4 riding modes, stop-start assist and cruise control.
Once again, MV-Agusta is on the verge of the sublime. The new Superveloce 1000 Oro enters a new segment: the neo-retro hypersport. Subtly sketched out by the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR, this environment of timeless charm and vigorous power is home to some particularly tasty Italian blood.
Like all MV-Agusta ORO series, the Superveloce 1000 will be rare and (very) expensive. 500 units will be offered, priced at over 70,000 euros.
