presentation of the SV 650 N 2006

the little Suzuki twin already had quite a temperament... it's even more so on this 2003 version of the SV. As lively as ever, and even slightly more powerful, it offers a wide rev range and imperial driveability, allowing you to get out of corners with velocity. Braking is as effective as ever from the front, but the rear has become much more disappointing. Neutral, precise steering, a waspish waistline, featherweight and compact dimensions make this toy a diabolical tool. The chassis is said to be stiffer, as is the suspension, which claims to be more efficient; but once in combat on our "happy" roads, the new bike plays no better than the old one, its suspension still lacking in efficiency. Even more supple and docile thanks to fuel injection, the twin allows you to roam around, something the rest of the machine seems to have forgotten: the fork springs are harder, the seat less thick and plush, and the legs more bent. In short, when it comes to comfort, the old bike was more user-friendly. Easy to ride and very playful, the SV is nevertheless a jealous companion who only reluctantly tolerates a passenger: the slice-of-loaf folding seat is a cause for divorce. The design has become more aggressive, succumbing to "edge design" with its aretes and sharp angles, in stark contrast to the organic shapes of the previous generation. That's a matter of taste - but the mill is an affair of the heart!

since 2005, the SV has been made up to stay in fashion. Like the sports bikes, the frame and swingarm are painted matte black. A small body-colored windscreen overhangs the headlamp, adding to the roadster's cachet.

Avis sur la SV 650 - 2008 bridée A2
French Nike Model 2008
For a first A2 motorcycle, the bike is smooth and powerful, with plenty of acceleration and light, reasonable fuel consumption. The only downside is that the rear wheel may lock up under heavy braking, so try to find one with ABS for greater safety.

Note that there's no indicator of which gear is engaged (1 to 6). The same goes for the fuel gauge: you need to keep an eye on the fuel warning light, which is the only indicator of how much fuel is left. The bike is still very satisfactory in terms of looks, comfort, safety and performance for a young rider!

i've had my sv 650 n k5 since february
i'm very happy with it, it's a great bike for cruising over mountain passes, there's more than enough potato to go around given the current legislation, and it's got a great handle too.

Une Perle à mettre en valeur !
French Yomacagi Model 2003
I can now compare the character of two "Mid-Size Roadster" machines, powered by the same successful SV engine. The La Raptor 650ei from 2006 (with fuel injection), fitted with forks, brakes and an Italian-style chassis. Powered by Suzuki's 90° Bi, it's a nimble machine with impeccable handling (on the wrists, though). The 2003 SV650N in a black aluminum chassis version, modified with a complete Titanium MIVV GP line (found on the internet), a BMC air filter, a black PUIG fork head, beautiful mirrors, it's got a serious purr. The Marzocchi fork fitted to the Raptor was razor-sharp, and the one fitted to the SV gives you confidence from the very first turns of the wheel. It's just less typical and less powerful under heavy attack, but that's not the main thing, is it? This bike is a real pleasure to ride, and even if the riding position may seem uncomfortable at first glance, with the legs bent backwards, it's nothing of the sort - only the seat's padding and lack of depth could be improved. The very pleasant power delivery is enthusiastic in soft mode up to 7000rpm, with full throttle, it purrs loudly and pushes hard. There's room for improvement in the brakes, but engine braking is very much in evidence and helps with deceleration. Aesthetically, it's the original pot that shocks, but it's easy to see, given its popularity, which speaks for itself, it hasn't aged a bit, and adapted with taste, it "gives the change" to the more recent Italian models, which are so expensive and pseudo-elitist! I'm keeping the Japanese, Banzai!

French THE FLOX Model 2003
I've been riding my SVN 2003 for a year now, and the two black spots are the front forks (which are too prone to banging, especially in Nice, where many streets are in a pitiful state); and the gearbox, which has an annoying tendency to lock up to find neutral once it's hot! Otherwise, with the MIIV carbon hollowed out of its DB KILLER, it has a very good potato (80 bhp), pushes "fort\" up to 7000 rpm, and takes off towards 11000 rpm in a pretty symphony... then when braking, fart furiously as the gears drop !!! For the moment, I'm satisfied. Rating : 4/5
French FLOX Model 2003
LUS to all! I've had my SVN since November 2011; with the MIVV "carbo" and Pirelli rosso; I have nothing to complain about, except for the suspates; I took 210 but I didn't get "to the bottom of things"!!!! On NICE and the mountain roads, it's great because there you learn to "roll"! A FLOX the KHURGH Rating : 3/5
French Nico du 15 Model 2003
Well, I've had my beautiful little suzette since January and I'm very happy with it, of course I'm lacing up with the 34hp, I've been able to touch the footbraces once or twice (that's when I scare myself), brigestone tires at not if it's bone but it grips poorly surfaced corners well, compared to a fazer 34 and a bandit 34 there's more feel on the sv. Even on a 34, I think it's got a lot of kick

Great bike for beginners

having driven 17,000 km with the sv n, I can say it's a great machine, suspension tuning imperative, it makes me laugh when people say it goes up to 230, it's not true, or maybe with the s (different gear ratios) personally it goes up to 205, but that's not why you buy an sv! Rating : 5/5
French alexis Model 2003
well I've had an sv for 6 months and I'm not at all disappointed good acceleration correct top speed (I took 236 with my pot yoshimura) light handy and what a look! for those who love the sv go to binano.net a plus! Rating : 5/5
French Tutu Model 2003
After trying out Hornet, GSR and Bandit, I tried out this little SV and I'm now in possession of it with 2000km on the odometer. A very playful character, she knows how to get away from the steep mountain slopes and bends, and leaves behind the 4 legs that try to follow her, in vein...The regret: the hard saddle, but I replaced it with a Bagster comfort saddle, which is (in my opinion) necessary if not indispensable after 100km...And then I took the option of Ermax radiator scoops, she really looks good...Excellent bike from every point of view... French donatien Model 2003
I've owned a CBF 600 for 1 year, and I've just tested the SV.... this morning. Well, I'm rather disappointed with the engine's behavior (aie lol, maybe I'm too used to 4-wheelers!!!), as you quickly get into the red zone, and there's no extension in the first 3 gears....and also the front end is way too light...but apart from these 2 faults (for me) it's a very decent bike! ah yes, it's good to go from 200Kg to 170 for the SV! Rating : 5/5
French cddam Model 2003
a thrilling engine on the road (less so with 34hp, but expressive nonetheless), light steering - too light even on fast sweeping curves, where the suspension tends to pump despite all possible modifications. on the other hand, the original tires slip too easily. on the racetrack, it works wonders and picks up very well on corner exits. it just lacks a little wattage from 3rd gear onwards at around 9,000rpm, where fazers and other hornets still take up a few meters
apart from the fragility of the handlebar halves, it's faultless.
Rating : 5/5
French grOOn Model 2003
Well, I was rather disappointed..

Maybe mine (SVN 2006) is badly tuned
When I hit the gas, the torque isn't all that present (between 6 and 8000rpm)

In fast corners, the front end seems really light (even with the original cap).
The beast is also sensitive to poor road surfaces
If you've forgotten to wiggle before braking or accelerating in a curve, you'll need some grip to keep it on the corner

On the other hand, it's true that on winding roads, a 4-wheeler of the same displacement is glued to every bend

It's also true that my impressions of the SV were profoundly altered when a friend lent me his speed triple (955i 3-cylinder) during his vacations ..

8500 km in less than a year, what can I say except that it's a great bike, and that I'm going to keep it for at least another year just to get the hang of it. I recommend it to all novices and those who don't want to ride at more than 200
i got 222 on the odometer, but that's not its main advantage. Where it feels good is on small country roads, just a little suspension adjustment and it's great!

hi! I have a grey 2003 sv650N. Too good the noise with a remus! With sport tires and a bit of control it's the bomb on small winding mountain roads, a hell of a torque, a perfect gearbox. I've had the misfortune to try a few 4-wheelers style R6 and others and I assure you that I would always stay on a bi!
I'm impatiently awaiting the release of a hypothetical SV800, as the 1000 is too much for my back roads (after testing). Otherwise, I'll fall back on a TRX! In short, all these good points make me forget the pain in the backside when I come back from the Pyrenees! A great bike!

French cochonou Model 2003
Pour toi sarah ... The sv is a bandit that reacts when the throttle is applied, even at 3000rpm. And that says it all, or almost... Just avoid all the nonsense like the "poignee a toc" on the wet in second gear because with the torque, well, the rear tire slides off......tres grosse glisse.....Pas pas avec un bandit qu'on pourrait se taper la honte comme ca......
MORALITE y a bon la SV!!!!!

slt to all!
I'm 18 in 2 months and I'm about to get my big cube license.I've been wondering for a long time what kind of machine I was going to get.18 years old so "young driver", more clearly "34hp" and yeah, that's crazy despite being 18, I've been riding for 10 years and by reading every little magazine and page on the net, I'm sure I won't make a mistake buying an sv.Personally, I prefer the look of the 2003 model and that LED brake light... A miracle... What's important to remember is that we're saying goodbye to carburetors, and hello to fuel injection... Well, I'll leave you to it, long live motorcycling, and watch out on the roads! Great first bike, after two years of use and 20,000 kilometers (and 2 crashes too) I'm still happy with it. A woman's motorcycle, a woman's motorcycle, it's easy to say... And for a first motorcycle, it's quite airy, to the point where you have to be careful in the wet, it's brutal. I've had the old one, I've got the new one (2005) and I've just had 3 bandits in a row: nothing to see. The only real fault is comfort, solo or duo; and also, for the new model, you can't be less than 1m70 tall. It's a great bike. Rating : 5/5

The SV is a very good 1st bike (and 34 and in 78)
The seat is easy to get used to, and the folding seat is best reserved for a strapped-in bag ;-)
otherwise, the only complaint I have is why they stopped using the orange color? it looked great with it.
