presentation of the GSX-R 1000 Trophy 2019
Suzuki had started 2018 with a special"Origins" series of its GSX-R 1000 R.
2019 gets off to a similar start with the Trophy edition. The hypersport gains a new, never-before-seen deco, using the manufacturer's sporting codes and colors but without any particular homage. We remember the"Suzuka 8 Hours" version, modelled on the machine entered in the Japanese endurance race. Or the"Buildbase" (English market), to honor the BSB championship team. Suzuki France has not copied and pasted a current or nostalgic model. This GSX-R 1000 Trophy is personal, with unmistakable war paintwork.
not to be confused with the"Tourist Trophy" series, which was a special order from the Isle of Man. This production is exclusively French. It will bring a taste of the chase back to this 202-hp missile, with its impressive engine and somewhat timid original styling.
This "Trophy" edition is also carried on the GSX-R 1000 R, with a richer endowment. Yosh' exhaust system and accessories give this model even more punch.
There will be 25 examples of this limited series, standard and R combined. Suzuki has announced a customer benefit of 1,000 roros for this variant.
