presentation of the 955i DAYTONA 2005
triumph showed off its new Daytona 955 '04 at the Paris Motor Show. Few changes for this vintage. The most significant change is the new fork head, with two separate headlights and a new bubble. Could the little Daytona 600 be influencing its big sister? The rest of the fairing is identical. The side air intakes are still there, but now painted in the same tone as the fairing. Following on from the Centenary version, the Daytona had recovered its single-arm design, which had been shelved for a while when it was redesigned in 2002. It's good to see that this single-sided arm is back for the 2004 version. Still no inverted fork or radial brakes. Technological overkill doesn't seem to be what the British are aiming for. No matter. The machine is as pleasant to ride as ever, with the charm of its 3-cylinder engine running the show from start to finish. Sporty without excess, the Daytona gives up on pure hyper-sports to concentrate on the pleasure of driving a sports car on the road, and even on the racetrack, the Englishwoman defends her rights; although this area is now monopolized by radical sports cars, more efficient than the Daytona but not as pleasant and comfortable on the road. You don't buy a Daytona to tease the GSX-R 1000, but to enjoy the charm of its boiler and its more accommodating philosophy. The Daytona 675's playground is the track and performance.

V to you all! Rating : 5/5 Respond to Manchot
But I'll never change one, because the torque of a twin is almost the same as that of a four, so where else can you find it if not on a triumph......... Rating : 5/5 Respond to triumph88
Incidentally, for the jap pros, I'd like to point out that a colleague limped off at 180km/h in a bend with his R6 (front stall), whereas I stayed on it with my Dayto at 10km/h more, proof of this bike's good roadholding!
In any case, on the road, it's simply thrilling! Rating : 5/5 Respond to domon

It's not easy to find a bike that pleases and charges when you're a giraffe!
