presentation of the 750 GSX-R 2005

it was thought that the 750 GSX-R 2000 would be the last representative of the former premier class. A happy mistake! Suzuki, the last manufacturer along with MV-Agusta to release 3/4-liter hypersports, has come up with a new GSX-R. On the menu: a strong resemblance with the 1000 and the new 600 (the game of 4 errors: 2 stickers, silencer, headlamp, which is a mixture of the 1000 and the Hayabusa), a fitness class to lose 3 kg, and a bodybuilding session to gain 7 hp. The result speaks for itself: 148 hp for 163 kg. Impressive! A new inverted fork with radial calipers, a slimmer, even more aggressive silhouette, black-painted frame and swingarm...the GSX-R follows the same criteria as all current sports bikes, but its power-to-weight ratio is exceptional for its displacement (1hp/1.1kg, compared with 1hp/1.14kg for the 2002 R1 ). The engine is an evolution of the previous block, with the adoption of titanium valves, dual-throttle injection and a host of modifications designed to make the boiler even more efficient. The electronic box now houses a 32-bit chip instead of 16, and the number of injection maps has doubled (to 8). The new 750 promises to be a formidable machine, but has few rivals in its segment.

so what's the point of being the only one in the fight? To conquer without peril is to triumph without glory. But Suzuki's move is one that makes good sense. These days, the choice among manufacturers is between 120-horsepower 600s and hyper-powerful 1000s topping 170 horsepower. Honestly, who can boast of mastering such a cavalry? Isn't it a bit too much for those who've moved on from supersports and are looking for more fun? After all, mastering a ZX-10R or any other hypersport requires a very high level of technical expertise. So, a 750 that fits right in between the two flagship segments can only be applauded.

Pistarde but not exclusive. Taking the Gixer out for a spin for the first time, you'll find the bike's stance faithful to its lineage: sporty without being extreme. The fairing offers a degree of protection that's pretty good for a sports bike. The main change is the bike's slimness. It's easier to hold. And as you get to know it better, you realize that man and machine have become one. It's about as easy to use as a 600, and the engine power is just as efficient. From 5,000 rpm, the boiler gives you plenty of drive. In the mid-range, it pushes harder, then kicks into high gear from 10 to 14,000 rpm. Watts, watts, watts. And that's where the subtlety of a 750 comes into its own - it doesn't kick like a supercharged 1000, but you can make the most of all its power. There's no need to fight with it; it's the bike that takes you along without throwing you off. Just ride it, enjoy it, and don't worry about engine fury. On the straightaways, the speedometer stalls at 299, but the rev counter continues to race... no comment ;-)
We've known the GSX-R 750 to be particularly nimble; the new one is even more so. With a shorter wheelbase and a narrower column angle, the bike is even more dazzling when changing angles. And without compromising its prodigious stability. Even the (relative) weakness of Suzuki braking has disappeared. It still brakes as well as ever, while the new all-radial assembly (mounting and master cylinder) provides a feel never before seen on this machine. The fork also works better, being firmer and more responsive to adjustments.
It's not the most powerful, but it's certainly one of the best bikes of the year. Not because of its performance, but simply because of the harmony and exhilaration it brings to the ride.

bike too cool I surkif it but it is not to put in the hands of everyone because it is a pearl too powerful finally to have one I find after 2 years that it has never assé but in any case for marsouiller with friends on the road I leave with a big advantage this bike and for me the best that suzuki has made engine very cool torque at all speeds and very powerful when you accelerate it never stops well if to 305 km/h a bike of exception for lovers of gsx-r and suzuki Rating : 5/5

I think it's great that Suzuki did something for the 20th anniversary of the 750 gex. For me, the 600 wouldn't have been entitled to it. The color is nice, the discs are more aggressive and the yosh pot is much more present than the original one! But it would have deserved a little something extra, even if it meant raising the selling price a little, like a little engine tuning or a bit of carbon here and there... you don't turn 20 every day! Rating : 5/5
Exceptional bike
The chassis is top-notch, and it's almost impossible to fault it on the road
The mill... well, it's a gex, it pushes and pushes and pushes! Civilized up to 8,000 rpm, it gets really wild above 10,000 rpm
And of course, the performance is top-notch: I got a nice 295 on the odometer with mine at full 6 on the A13..
A marvel!

Without doubt the best sports bike for the road. More affordable than a 1000 but at least as efficient on the road, more torquey than a 600 - in short, the ideal bike for exploiting your rider's abilities without suffering from your bike!

the best 750 ever, I've swept zx9 and R1 with it, don't believe it, it's got performance!!! the handling is top notch!!! only the mirrors are bad (unless you want to admire your elbows lol) otherwise it's as heavy as a 400 and has the performance of a mile, and anyway the Suz have always been the best!!!! Rating : 5/5
French R_max Model 2004
I've just bought this furious bike, and I'm already finding an incomparable pleasure. I had a '97 1000 CBR F and now I'm changing category for the circuit... This bike is flexible and intuitive, and lands where you want it to land. I'm a fan! See you soon on the roads of France BON ROUTE... Rating : 5/5
French Samuel Model 2004
I'm currently the owner of this bike and it's pure happiness! It's docile and furious at the same time! Below 8000 rpm, it's a "quiet" force, and above that, it's absolutely reserved for the racetrack, always controllable without ever being viscous... it holds a thousand gsxr and it's intuitive, in short, a suz! What happiness... Rating : 5/5
French kevin Model 2004
very nice bike like the 2 others shame not to know the speed of the bike but all the bike gsx r is the best on the planet Rating : 5/5
