Triumph has teamed up with a very famous and very select watch brand: Breitling. Behind this name with its British accents lies a Swiss manufacture founded in 1884. It has built up a reputation for excellence in aeronautics and luxury watches.

A 1200 Speed Twin will be produced in a limited edition of 270 units, with a special color scheme, a few recognition claws and an original and distinctive bonus.....

The Speed Twin is the most exciting version of the Bonneville - not the sportiest, mind you. This special series adopts a very specific pastel blue hue, the same as that of the 1951 Thunderbird model. It's said that this color was inspired by the Tbird in the film "The Wild One" starring Marlon Brando. Personally, I've never seen or heard of it. But it's a nice change from the eternal Steve McQueen refrain.

Some of the details are hand-painted, and the reminder of the Breitling brand is evident in many places. at the top of the fuel tank, at the end of the perforated leather seat with topstitching, on the engine casing badges. The double-dial instrumentation has been redesigned using styling elements taken from the Top Time watch - the timepiece with which the Speed Twin is paired.

Triumph has let loose in 2022 with a host of special series, all enhanced by special decals(Gold Line, Ton-Up, 221, etc.). This retro-modern roadster goes one step further, adopting two Öhlins shock absorbers for the rear axle. Greater efficiency and a more upscale feel go hand in hand with the cachet this machine aims to exude. This also goes some way to explaining the high price inflation.

so, there will only be 270 of them, and why? Because that's the engine size of the twin. Every owner will know exactly which model they own, thanks to the serial number engraved on the handlebar plate and the certificate of authenticity, bearing the signatures of the Triumph and Breitling bosses.

Owning a Speed Twin Breitling edition allows you to..... order a Top Time limited edition, with an edition number corresponding to that of the motorcycle and the Triumph logo engraved on the dial. Two conditions must be met: you must be the first owner and you must apply before August 22, 2022.
The Top Time chronograph is also available in two separate versions. One for the main collection, the other exclusively for Speed Twin purchasers. The Swiss will ask just over 5,000 euros for the watch.

Triumph will already have drained you of much more than that. It will then offer its gentleman the vigor of its 100 hp, the lift via its 11.4 mkg, the strength of its M50 brakes, the grip of Metzeler Racetec RR and a dose of co-pilot with three riding Modes, traction control, and ABS.
