The R1 Pirovano replica is an emotion from the other side, ready to slap the curves. Prepared for sport use by Yamaha Motor Europe, it limits itself to a border close to Superstock. The pink and white colors of the YZF 750 are set against a track fairing stripped of all on-road hardware. A GYTR racing saddle sits on a single-seater rear frame. A pair of slicks lets you hear the sound of rubber in the corners. A high bubble provides extra protection, while the crossplane engine blows through an Akrapovic muffler. This saves a little power and a lot of weight.
But we didn't want to overdo it. No changes to the suspension or adjustable footpegs.

Nicknamed "the King of Monza", Fabrizio Pirovano spent 13 years in the world of World Superbikes, racing in SBK and then SuperSport. His list of achievements includes 10 victories, 47 podiums, a world title in WSS, two runner-up finishes in SBK and four Italian championships, all in SBK.
In World Superbike, Piro raced Yamaha bikes for 6 years running. His hands also grasped handlebars at Suzuki, Ducati and Bimota. Emotions ran high at the last start of his life - the memory lives on in hypersport.
