presentation of the KX 250 2022
The KX 250 didn't feel the need to evolve for 2022. A short break after several vintages in which the Kaw asaki cross was revitalized in many respects . The Kawasaki had already received a nice batch of evolutions for its 2020 vintage; no time to revel in them as it's already inundating itself with profound changes for 2021. Even more muscular, Kawasaki's cross debuts with the most power it's ever achieved and a host of "rider-centric" features that will allow it to confirm its place as the motorcycle of choice in its class.
At the heart of this model is a state-of-the-art engine offering an extra 1 kW (1.4 HP) of power at maximum rpm, without sacrificing the low- and mid-range performance so characteristic of the Kawa spirit.
The 350 rpm increase in maximum rpm is also of interest to riders, adding to the already impressive performance of the KX 250. Mono now revs up to 14,500 rpm.
The new features of the Evo 2021 don't stop there. They begin with the welcome addition of an electric starter for the first time on a KX 250, as well as the adoption of a hydraulic clutch of the same type used on the KX 450 since the 2019 model.
The ability to remount and restart immediately after a fall is obvious, and the seconds gained could well make the difference at the finish. The quick start, reliability and durability of a hydraulic clutch are instant racing benefits that will be much appreciated by riders.
In terms of styling and chassis, new features include changes to the slim, ergonomic plastics, and a new frame/swingarm combination modelled on the highly successful 450 chassis.
In addition, standard suspension settings have been fine-tuned to better absorb shocks and facilitate traction, while a series of adjustments to the braking system provide even more optimal control. Speaking of control, a choice of four handlebar positions and two footrest settings allows riders to customize their riding position to suit their size and preferences.
in addition to all these new features, there's also the option of a Fi calibration kit for ultra-fine tuning, plus three easy-to-exchange "tuning plugs". Apparently, the KX 250 2021 - 2022 is even more hungry for racing success.
