presentation of the DS 2011
the Zero DS combines innovation and passion to offer the world's most versatile electric motorcycle. Designed to be agile on the trail and fast on the road, the Zero DS represents a new form of freedom.
get out of the ordinary! Take on a dusty road or trail. When you're ready, switch silently from the countryside to civilization - you've arrived at your destination! The Zero DS is rustic when you want it to be, and distinctive when you want it to be. Its taut, sophisticated lines are underlined by the design of the double-spar frame, made of aircraft aluminum, which is both rigid and lightweight.
Powered by the industry's most advanced technology, the Zero DS is an electric motorcycle designed for all types of terrain. Get around obstacles and stay in control thanks to a specially designed fork and robust swingarm. During technical maneuvers, the direct transmission (with no gears to shift) makes this bike surprisingly responsive.
the completely revised Zero DS 2011 is built on the same platform as the innovative Zero S 2011. It features the same improvements as the 2011 Zero S, such as a fast-charging option that cuts charging time in half compared to 2010 models. Equipped with a new braking system, a new and improved suspension system and a maintenance-free belt drive, Zero Motorcycles offers the dual sport (DS) model, at ease on both road and track. With a silent operation that testifies to the quality of its manufacture and assembly, the Zero DS 2011 also boasts a 12.5% increase in energy storage capacity. But that's not all: the powertrain management system has been completely overhauled by our engineers, and the instrument panel is simply unprecedented: information is clear and visible, even in extreme conditions. Almost every component of the 2011 Zero DS has been improved, such as the rims, which are now reinforced, and the new tires, which offer better grip in all conditions, as well as a more comfortable ride.grip in all conditions, as well as the general equipment, more grippy footrests and a lockable, key-operated starter. The Zero DS can also be supplied with a chain drive.
