from 1998 to 2026Honda Hornet - The Hornet's stinging success story

The Honda 600 Hornet arrived at the end of the millennium and gave the category a run for its money. Powered by an old 600 CBR block, it ousted the Suzuki 600 Bandit, until then the star of the segment. It had to contend with the 600 Fazer, which was just as powerful, more versatile but less of a bad boy. In 2000, it abandons its 16-inch wheel for the more classic 17-inch. The front end was further improved in 2005 with a better fork. In 2007, the change is profound, with new (and somewhat controversial) styling, a frame that switches from steel to aluminum and a CBR engine, this time from the same generation. The latest aesthetic evolution comes in 2011, with a real hornet's head. A long absence followed, then a rebirth in 2023 with an all-new 750 twin-cylinder, a different type of chassis and a different philosophy, but a great quality/performance/price ratio.
